Nemu is apparently comfortable enough with Tomoko to drop her nice-girl act and be completely blunt with her. Also LOL at her insulting that specific LN power fantasy anime. XD
Chapter 108 is out. KOTOMI WINS.
Well, not really, but Akari seems to suffer all the same.
Still, it was very nice of her what she did.
She would be a good girlfriend.

A Christmas special is out, and we finally get to see that Christmas party that Yuu invited Tomoko to in the last year special.
Useless fact: The gift picked by Yuu seems to be a reference to a thing that actually exists.
Holy mother. Yuu was really savage in this chapter.
RealidadeI was wondering whether the name was for the sake of Bland-Name Product of Shoddy Knockoff Product, but it seems like the former then.
tfw you're accidentally savage af

"If we hit that bullseye, the rest of the dominoes will fall like a house of cards. Checkmate."As there won't be a new chapter until January, I'll at least link to some translated fan-made comics in the meantime. (Originally posted on Pixiv.
I'm especially fond of this one, because I think this is pretty much canon.
Also, I thought that Tomoko's mom should probably be listed on the Characters page, as she has some relevance in the plot... but then I realized I had no idea what to write about her. Any ideas?
New chapter is out. Looks like Tomoko is on speaking terms with the makeup girl and is becoming the go-to person for book recommendations for her acquaintances.
In the earlier days of the comic I would expect something awful to happen to Tomoko in the upcoming chapters to balance all this progress out, but surely we are past this stage, right?
Another new chapter, and apparently another new girl in Tomoko's social circle, making the title less and less accurate, as Tomoko is actually sort of popular now.
Hopefully Yoshida won't find out how Tomoko brought her up to motivate the new girl.
Poor Yuu for having her hopes crushed in the flashback.
And the biggest question after this chapter is whether Hina keeps her distance from Tomoko because she holds a grudge against her for ignoring her immediately after that fist bump.

I'm kind of hoping that we are past that point, as it would point to some progression (from socially awkward loner to being socially awkward and yet still being part of a social circle), but I'm ALSO guarded at this being a big elaborate setup for ultimate embarrassment for Tomoko.
New chapter is out in which Ucchi finally gives Tomoko Valentine's Day chocolates.
Also, Tomoko and Yuri have a nice Friendship Moment, so there's that, too.

I really started liking Yuri after this chapter.
She has become a full character.
I am really interested in how this will develop, she is now Tomoko's friend, but, unlike Yuu, she has a good grasp on Tomoko's true nature.
RealidadeTomoko has come really far from where she starts, haven't she? It's great.
People on Reddit found two short omakes (apparently from the newest volume?). One is set immediately after chapter 107 and shows Tomoko trying to fight back against Hina by mocking her anime tastes (needless to say, with no success). The other one is set after chapter 109 and seemingly shows Ucchi having a bit of a breakdown as she watches Tomoko getting along with the makeup girl.
Apparently the newest volume also has this drawing by Nico Tanigawa.
Chapter 113 is out, the Valentine's Day from Kotomi's and Akari's perspective. Kotomi tries to combine her love for Tomoki with their love for sports with rather mixed result. And Akari is giving Yuu a run for her money when it comes to niceness.
Also, Ucchi seems to be strangely anxious over those leftover chocolates for Tomoko.
I like how I noticed they set up the "Kotomi accidentally made a chocolate phallus" joke and, I think, quadruple subverted it.
A new chapter is out, the third part of the Valentine's Day "arc". This time Tomoko gives chocolates to Yoshida and Ucchi. That is, hastily remade crap-chocolates.
And in the end Ucchi turns out to be OK even with crap if it's from Tomoko.

A new chapter is out Year 2 comes to an end and Tomoko actually realizes how much her current situation improved compared to the beginning of the manga.
Well, hopefully at least some of Tomoko's new friends will be in the same class as her the next year, because otherwise she might be back to square one when it comes to social life. Then again, she kind of became acquainted with the make-up girl on her own, so maybe she will be able to make new friends after all.
This is apparently the first part of the graduation "arc", so hopefully Tomoko will get to say proper farewell to Imae in the next chapter.
And poor Ucchi has to suffer in the background, first watching Tomoko's head getting patted by a graduating upperclassman, then foiled by Hina Nemoto while trying to offer Tomoko a some tissues.
New chapter (or the second part of chapter 115) is out.
That was... a very bittersweet chapter. At least Tomoko does get to say proper farewell to Megumi, and Yoshida gets a moment to shine.
Reading Tomoko's thoughts at the end of the chapter, now I'm even more curious than before how her third year is going to turn out.
Yuri has definitely become my favorite side character.
Helps that she has shown up the most out of all of Tomoko's friends and acquaintances in recent chapters, but the normality of Yuri really plays off well with Tomoko and they are pretty chill with each other.
Wham, right in the feels. Plus it's a good measure to see just how much Tomoko has grown since Imae gave her that anonymous hug many chapters ago.
Hopefully not too loud, though.
Old news, but not mentioned here yet: volume 10 of the manga is out in Japan, and it apparently includes this drawing by Nico Tanigawa.
