Related to that last one, did you know that there's a tattoo ink that's glucose sensitive, now? It changes colors according to available glucose levels. Glucose is high? It's purple. Low? It's yellow. In the normal range? Sort of a dark orange. Only problem is that it only lasts about six months before it starts being walled off (which also happens with regular tattoo ink, but there it's not a problem).
...if you don’t love you’re dead, and if you do, they’ll kill you for it.It sounds familiar.
Fungus deadly to AIDS patients found to grow on trees
Eating a Vanilluxe will give you frostbite.Funny, I think we've known about the link between cryptococcal infection and trees for a while already.
Not a substitute for a formal medical consultation.Yep, Cryptococcus has been isolated from trees previously.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanRandom question: What is worse in term of bodily damage; A clean cut which removes an hand outright OR a botched "cut" which leaves the same hand attached but mangled so hard it might as well be cut?
I want to stress that this is unrelated to that toe of mine and that I never botch a cleaver cut.
Let's assume we're talking about a bite from whatever predator, and in the second situation it doesn't have enough force to cut through the extremity, and let's assume the same bite could in other circumstances cut cleanly the hand.
If it's really that mangled the nice doctor is just gonna amputate it at some point.
Oh really when?I know, but in the meantime maybe there's time for infection or something, or maybe there's no bonesaw handy and an immediate amputation is not doable, without mentioning blood loss.
