Ah, okay. I'll pass, I'm still having a hard time learning the buttons.
I keep pressing buttons as if it were the same layout as DMC 1.

Which is why I'm hoping the HD Collection will let you modify the controls for 1.
So I got to the top of the tower to fight Vergil. I got really worried that I'd reached the end in 4 hours again, like with the first game. Luckily, that wasn't the case.
So I've started Mission 9 and the first room I walk into has giant spiders. Why'd it have to be spiders?
My avatar is mfw Devil May Cry HD ain't gonna be on PC.
Because, apparently, no on ever uses PC as a gaming platform.
At least the new DMC is officially In Name Only.
STEALTH!!!Hey, at least we got the sick port of DMC 4 on the PC. That thing is godlike.
"Delenda est." "Furthermore, Carthage must be destroyed." -Common Roman saying at the end of speeches.I know, right? That thing is a coding masterpiece, it is optimized much better than many of the PC-exclusive titles - I get more FPS while pulling a SSS on a boss than when I'm standing in Call of Duty doing literally nothing.
Greatly differs from Capcom's typical EAT THAT, inferior gaming platform porting style.

STEALTH!!!Capcom made Lost Planet and Turok?
I think they made Lost Planet, not so sure on Turok.
http://gotgame.com/2011/11/05/devil-may-cry-hd-collection-release-date-boxart-revealed/
Release Date is Febuary 7th and it will have Trophy's and Acheivements.
Watch SymphogearThat box art's a little underwhelming.
Is there anything else new, other than graphics and achievements?
None known yet at the moment.
Watch SymphogearMost HD Collection compilations have underwhelming boxart. The 5th Anniversary Collection's boxart was pretty meh, too. It was just a render of Dante from 3, with the boxart of the three games below him.
I hope they add some new content. Otherwise, there will be no reasons to justify a purchase.
Alright. That's weird that Capcom published it for PC...
Cleared DMC 3, took about 9 hours. Favorite part was the ending credits, I wish there was an unlockable bonus mission to just do that part forever; and not that Blood Palace thing or whatever, I want just an endless stream of monsters to fight.
I didn't like the Styles thing, I pretty much stayed on Trickster the whole time.
I got irritated in the purgatory place because after I found that space-time orb thing I ran around for 10 minutes trying to figure out where to go because I just happened to not notice the golden statue in the mirror room.
I don't understand why the developers make these game modes that only show up near the end; in 1 it was that weird rail-shooter part and in 3 it's having a teammate, which (unlike the rail-shooting) would've been cool to do through the entire game rather than the last 10 minutes.
A lot of stuff that was supposed to be cool (the scene where Lady and Dante meet after fighting the Cerberus, driving the motorcycle up the tower, the "demon" modes, that guitar sword), I thought was dumb...
Something about a few of the boss fights bugged me. Vergil, I curb stomped him every single fight, yet the game pretty much swears he's stronger the entire time (until the end). What was the point of fighting Lady? Dante's clearly more powerful than her and they were wasting time, it kinda felt like padding; so did the Leviathan, to be honest.
TL;DR Version: I actually like DMC 1 more than DMC 3.

Vergil was only supposed to be stronger than Dante in their first go-round. In their second fight, it's made pretty clear that they were now evenly matched. I agree with you about Lady, but leviathan's purpose seems to be to give you a stage were you can test out your new Devil Trigger mode. That's the only justification I can come up with.
I like DMC 1 better too, overall. It's more Castlevania-esque.
ALL CREATURE WILL DIE AND ALL THE THINGS WILL BE BROKEN. THAT'S THE LAW OF SAMURAI.Overall, I still give the edge to 3, but the first game is a very close second. The gothic atmosphere and bosses like Nelo Angelo, Phantom, and Griffon made the game.
I thought the Nevan scene was supposed to be funny instead of cool. It was incredibly stupid but I thought that was the whole idea? Like it was supposed to make you laugh?
Which one? The pre-boss one where she's trying to get into Dante's pants or the post-boss one where she's still trying to get into Dante's pants before he rocks the f*** out?
If that's directed at my post, I was talking about the sword itself, not the scene where you get it. I assume a guitar sword is supposed to be cool, but I thought it was lame and pretty unusable.
Nevan is Difficult, but Awesome. If you don't like it, they you're probably not using it right/well (no offense meant), seeing as it's the ultimate weapon for crowd control. I hardly used it (I'm more of a Rebellion/Beowulf guy), but Nevan is far from useless/unusable (it's just tough to master a la Royal Guard)
No offense taken.
I know X mate, hence "kinda".
