AWWWWWW YEAH!
It will help me water out my mouth of the vileness that is Ninja Theory's game along with Asuras Wrath and Dragons Dogma to help keep my mouth fresh.

Watch SymphogearPlease stop shoehorning Asura's Wrath in every tread it's rather annoying.
Now the DMC series isn't really my kind of game but I have played them and I really don't see what the problem with DMC 2 really is. Sure Dante is a little different but gameplay wise I don't really see the difference.
In the quiet of the night, the Neocount of Merentha mused: How long does evolution take, among the damned? It's a bit hard to explain, but there's a different sort of fluidity to Dante's movement here. It's a bit clunkier. And while most of those moves Dante can perform with the Escape button were integrated into the Trickster style in 3 and 4, using them creates these breaks in the action, somewhat akin to the pauses in battle that you can see in DmC. There's also the fact that there's no variety in how Dante or Lucia play. Each character has a few different combos with their melee weapons, but that's it. All of their weapons function the same. There's no alternative styles or no extra Devil Arms, so the gameplay ends up feeling a bit stiff and stale at times. At least Trish controls like DMC!Dante, as she can emulate his moveset with Alastor/Sparda and Ifrit. I didn't find it to be horrible like most say, but 2 definitely has a distinct feel and sense of handling in comparison to 3 and 4, and even 1, oddly enough.
As for the HD Collection, are there any new features? If not, I'll probably pass, seeing as I already own the 5th Anniversary Collection (which is pretty much the same thing as this).
I would assume that it's SE, seeing as that's what was included in the 5th Anniversary Collection, and this seems to be the exact same package as that.

This is beautiful man.
Yeah, so it's no different from the 5th Anniversary Collection. Pass.
Since I don't have it, it suits me fine. Get in!
Quick question about DMC 3. Should I play Dante or Virgil first? Does it matter?
Pretty sure you need to beat the game as Dante to unlock Vergil.
Don't PM me. We don't like being PMed.Didn't really check to see; I jumped right into Dante's game without thinking and after a while I started wondering if Vergil's game took place before Dante's or if it had any insight into things happening during Dante's playthough, etc.
If the version you have is the same I bought a while ago, I'm pretty sure Vergil is just a reskin of Dante with fewer weapons. I think the cutscenes are even cut out entirely.
So, I suppose going with Dante first is the way to go if you wanna understand what's going on.

Who's an angry moth? You are! Yes you are! You're the fuzziest and angriest moth! Original pic.The full title on the box is Devil May Cry 3: Dante's Awakening: Special Edition
The back of the box has this
Special Edition Features:
- Play as Vergil
- New Jester Boss Enemy
- New Very Hard Mode
- New Turbo Mode
- and More!
What's "Turbo Mode"?
You still have to beat the game as Dante to play as Vergil, I believe.
And I wouldn't recommend playing as Vergil first because you have to understand and master how Dante works before even attempting to manage Vergil.
At least its still better then the Reboot/ Prequel/ Spinoff that is ninja theory's game, at least.
Watch SymphogearWell we made it 16 posts without this thread turning into shit again.
So the only difference with Vergil, is moves and stuff? No new story or anything?

Well Null, with what I remember it kinda is barebones. Only one new cut-scene, all the other cut-scenes are cut and all boss fights against Vergil as just him again with a pallete swap. I'm sure one of the others can correct me/add more.
He gets two cutscenes that are set before Dante's story, and that's it.
That's basically it, hellman.
He does have a new moveset with Beowulf, and he uses two new weapons.
Very big Daydream Believer. "That's not knowledge, that's a crapshoot!" -Al Murray "Welcome to QI" -Stephen FryWell that's lame...glad it was the same price as the regular version.
So what's Turbo Mode?

Yeah but playing as freaking Vergil is kinda worth it none the less.
Turbo mode is your game on crack, speed and some other funky drug. Or just a speed boost to you and me. You know, much faster gameplay etc.

Meh. Playing as Vergil is alright, but the experience is hampered by the fact that it's a complete retread of Dante's story from start to finish.
Can't find the other thread so I'm making a new one.
HD Collection confirmed for February realease!
