-nods- Poor, poor Sneezy/Snotty. Who runs the pharmacy.
Did anyone else get bad touch vibes from Rumplestiltskin and Regina? Because my Stranger Danger alert was on full red and klaxons. Sooo creepy. I almost don't want to know what Rumple was going to do with baby Regina.
unless it's like this, in which case I want to see the music video.

ophelia, you're breaking my heartThat makes me realise it'd be so easy to do a musical episode for the show.
So. Easy.

help me out here.
ophelia, you're breaking my heartWell, all the Disney films.
This post has been powered by avenging fury and a balanced diet. What's wrong with original material?
Looking for some stories? It's hard to write good songs. Not everyone's Rodgersand Hammerstein.
ophelia, you're breaking my heartYeah, apparently the Buffy Musical took over a year to get all the songs ready?
Read my stories!Just watched the latest episode. Holy shit it's Regina's mother!
In other news, did she say her name was Korra?
You fell victim to one of the classic blunders! And to be fair, no one's watching Once Upon A Time for original material.
Zing!
Cora.

You fell victim to one of the classic blunders! The name Cora just reminds me of the breakfast place.
I get too much squicky foe jay vibes from Regina and charming.
Also, I always thought regina's mother turned into the queen of hearts, and was surer about it than ever until that last scene but now I dunno.

It makes me think of Coraline.
It's like he took hints from Jack Harkness and turned it up to eleven.
It could still happen. They'd have to explain how she got from Wonderland to the Enchanted Forest, but it could still happen.
ophelia, you're breaking my heartAs much sense as it made, I am really sad Henry turned down the opertunity to learn magic, mostly because it would have made for a REALLY interesting plot line (even if it doesn't work in the story right now... at all) and because Henry with magic would have been AWESOME. Maybe he can find a way to learn it from some one else or something?
In other news, Regina's redemption arc is kind of awesome. I hope they go somewhere good with this.
"You are never taller then when standing up for yourself"I think Henry having magic would've made him too powerful. He's interesting enough as the small boy who was right and is getting fought over left and right. He's got enough drama for now. And if magic is as corrupting as the show says it is, he'd probably become Darth Lord Stormageddon, Ruler of All.
But, yes, Regina's redemption arc is really cool. So far, anyways.
ophelia, you're breaking my heart
See I get the sense that SOME magic is corrupting, but it's more in how you use it and why then it is magic itself. Like Rumple: He's always used magic for selfish ends and he got it through murder, but The Blue Fairy used her magic for the good of all and the continued well fare of the land. *shrug*
"You are never taller then when standing up for yourself"I was afraid this show would dissapointed me: key-word being was.
God, it was so awesome.
Hey, didn't they mentioned that the curse upon Aurora hadn't "worked out" that well for Malificient? I assumed it had been broken... suppose we will learn more about it later...
...maybe most of the refuges are either people without their happing endings or people from unsual fairytales??
edit: it would be nice to see Henry using magic for good.

"Here to welcome our new golden-eyed overlords," said Addy promptly. She got killed in the previous season finale.
It's just a power corrupts thing. Anything else leads down drug addiction narrative, which no one likes. (See: Star Wars, Buffy.) Also, it's not entirely true to the setting as so explored.

This post has been powered by avenging fury and a balanced diet. The Blue Fairy says she tries to use her magic for the good of all. She doesn't seem to be particularly principled about it, tho. See the deal with Gepetto, the dwarves, how everyone shamed Nova.
Well, since it got broken. Or maybe she got stuck in her dragon form?
I dunno...Regina said the magic felt really good. And there are some parallels to a drug narrative with Rumple and Bae's story. And a drug addiction narrative can be a good story, if done well. Or even a responsible magic narrative.
ophelia, you're breaking my heartRegina seems to be moving from "complete monster" to "High-functioning Sociopath". Which is actually more fun to watch than a complete 180 heel->face turn would be. She has not suddenly acquired a moral compass - She simply does not want to be Cora, which I quite like - it is excellent TV and LP is working frack out of the role.
And hey, it is not like anyone in Storybrooke could actually exact any justice on her anyways - given her powerset, nothing short of a surprise hellfire missile strike has any chance of working (David bringing a sword to her house was *very stupid*. Brave, but not clever at all.)
Re: Magic: The curse of the dark one is fairly explicitly corrupting - It is a curse, after all. As for other magics, it seems to vary, and the show has outright stated that magic is different on earth than it was in farietaleland.

I'm still holding the opinion that Reul Ghorm will turn out to be a Bigger Bad than Rumple/Regina as the series moves along...
Rumple could take Regina on, and win...
That said, anyone can be killed. David may not have had much of a chance against a Regina, but he would stand a better chance while holding a sword than without one...

Better chance of being killed, certainly. Regina just demonstrated that she can pluck crossbow bolts out of the air midflight and throw them back at you as fireballs. That does not make her invincible, of course, but one guy with a sword? yhea, that is approximately as intimidating as a toddler with a nerf gun. If he wanted to threaten Regina, he should have brought a cellphone. Bringing down the attention of the outside world onto storybrook would be messy for all involved, but as a "Threaten to burn the game board" move, it has its attractions.
I just had the greatest idea ever. Some day in the Future, the characters should be able to leave Storybrooke and visit the outside world. And when that happens, we need an excuse for Emma, Snow and Charming to visit Disneyland.
You lost!
Yeah, I like how everyone is trying to do things.
Also, poor Sneezy. Great way to establish a risk, without making it "loldeath"
