I thought her job was just to break the curse. She, Pinocchio (who almost nobody knew about), and Henry (who never would have existed if it weren't for her), were the only ones with a connection to the fairy tale world that weren't affected by the curse. All you need to kill Regina is to break into her house at night and smother her with a pillow in her sleep.
See, the fact that Emma isn't affected by the curse means that she's got a better shot at breaking it that the amnesiac town residents, but nothing about her makes her significantly better at killing Regina than, say, either of her parents.
Not sure if we can call Jefferson a villain.
"Canada Day is over, and now begins the endless dark of the Canada Night."I'm curious about something; how did the Mad Hatter know where Belle was and what her relationship to Rumpelstiltskin was?
Magic.... well, I was curious as well.
"Here to welcome our new golden-eyed overlords," said Addy promptly. He had been watching that town with his telescope (and probably sneaking around as well) for 28 years. Knowing a secret or two is not a stretch.
First episode with him: He kidnaps Emma and Mary Margaret. Second episode with him: he helps Regina get her magic poisoned apple. He's sympathetic as hell, but he's a villain.
I was under the impression that Gold brings back Magic as a whole, not just his/reginas. Wich would mean Red becomes a werewolf again, pinoccio a living puppet, the fairy well she becomes a fairy again, hopper becomes a grasshopper and so on..
You lost!Jefferson is more anti-hero than villain.
Read my stories!Oh right, his hat should work fine again now too.
You lost!So if the original curse is broken, does that mean there might be interaction with the outside world? Or might the outside world start to interact with Storybrooke?
Possibly. I'd love to know how Emma found Storybrooke if it doesn't interact with the outside world at all.
I wonder how much of Jefferson we'll see now that his hat works again.
@Whoever it was: That's a good point about Archie becoming a grasshopper again... When they showed him he wasn't turning back into one, though I suppose he could always change later.
Victory! Honor! Destiny! Mutton!Maybe pre-existing enchantments don't automatically start up again? It's not like Hopper was always a grasshopper.
Furthermore him being a grasshooper isn't a magical trait that he himself has.
"Here to welcome our new golden-eyed overlords," said Addy promptly.I'm guessing that in order to become a grasshopper again, he'll need to have a fairy cast it on him again. Personally, I don't think that he'll bother.
Backward. Anti-hero does heroic things for non-heroic reasons. Anti-villain does villainous thins for heroic reasons.
Mura: -flips the bird to veterinary science with one hand and Euclidean geometry with the other-Well, Jefferson wants to have his daughter back... no matter what cost.
"Here to welcome our new golden-eyed overlords," said Addy promptly.Keyseeker, I assume Emma found Storybrooke because Henry knew where it was.
I got the impression that Storybrooke *does* exist, at least enough that *anyone* could go there, it is just that the curse prevents people from even wanting to, hell for 28 everyone was stuck, unable to have any sort of progress
"Here to welcome our new golden-eyed overlords," said Addy promptly. When we saw him, we wasn't a cricket because the memories had returned, but the magic hadn't. Who knows what things'll be like now that Rumple's turned the magic back on.

"Canada Day is over, and now begins the endless dark of the Canada Night."I'm inclined to think that there won't be any physical transformations because Rumple didn't look all Dark Oney when there was the magic purple smoke billowing all about him, but it might just have not kicked in yet.
Something that occurred to me about Jefferson: He's not going to get involved in the plot again unless something changes. His daughter remembers him and he's still got his big fancy house to share with her, so he has everything he was after. A character without wants has no reason to do anything in the story. Granted, Regina could kidnap Grace or something, but for now he's good.
Incidentally, Mr AHR, the reason I classify him as an Anti-Villain rather than an Anti-Hero is that his role in the story is villainous. He's an obstacle for Emma and an asset for Regina, ergo villain.
@rikalous: Ah, ok. I forgot that bit.
I doubt that he'll just sit there. He didn't want Grace to remember, really; he wanted both him and his daughter to forget. I don't know what his place in the narrative will be from now on, but I don't think that the writers will just forget about him.
He was an instrument of Regina's. I think in Season 2 that he might be more of a Wild Card. But right now, yeah he would be a Type 2 Woobie Anti Villain.
Trump delenda estMy best bet is Heroic Neutral. Regina being Regina, she's probably going to do something to get him mad at her.
I don't think that Emma fullfilled her role, for one thing, Regina is still alive.
"Here to welcome our new golden-eyed overlords," said Addy promptly.
