I feel like that's exactly what they needed to do with her, if this was going to be taken seriously at all.
So I've gone back to watching Gilmore Girls recently, and it really twigged on something that bothers me about this show. The fact that the townspeople just kind of...disappear when they're not immediately relevant. And often stay gone when they should be there (coughrubycough).
Gilmore Girls managed to keep a small town populated with basically the same cast of minor characters for seven years. The casting department on Once Upon a Time isn't doing a great job if they keep letting go of actors that are kind of necessary for certain positions.
I noticed that. But Storybrooke is like the Enchanted Forest in that the crowd hides in their homes (or behind the trees?) when they aren't directed mentioned in the narrative (or required for the plot).
As for Ruby, I tend to believe that she just quit Granny's and stays at home all the time. Or skulks around Storybrooke as a wolf and nobody minds.
It looks like Emma aged a bit with that costume. I'm on cool with it, though
Roses are plants and violets are too, here's some cake... please don't sue.I hate you.
I love you. <3
I hope they don't get too carried way with cramming in the Disney canon. Merida I don't mind too much though, considering she'd fit in okay with what I assume to be an upcoming Camelot plot.
Just no awful bear puns please XD
That would indeed be unbearable.
PM box is always open.It would be a bear to sit through.
You two need to be pun-ished.
Is it more than you can bear?
I think we should cool it on the puns, and let it go.
They do have medals for almost, and they're called silver!I couldn't bear it if we had to stop! D:
Don't be a moan-a.
They do have medals for almost, and they're called silver!Wow I was no expecting that. Sweetness!
Roses are plants and violets are too, here's some cake... please don't sue.Okay, now this thread is starting to sound like the Persona 4 anime. XD
Merida from Brave is a thing. I hope she has her Scottish accent. Fingers crossed.
Roses are plants and violets are too, here's some cake... please don't sue.Why wouldn't she?
So this slipped through my radar, but they have some of the Camelot casting out now, including Merlin/the Sorcerer. They've actually gone younger than I thought, and cast Elliot Knight as the wizard (kinda makes my theory about him being Lily's dad a little hinky XD).

It's really weird when characters just seem to vanish from the show, because you know that they can't leave the town.

Once Upon a Time seems to have a serious problem contracting guest actors for the long term.
I've said it before, and I'll say it again. Gilmore Girls managed to keep an entire town's worth of characters around for seven years. Once Upon a Time should be able to keep their townspeople from falling into a rift (unless that's the season's plot :P).
Seriously, I understand why Sidney's not around all the time, because Giancarlo Esposito was always busy with other stuff when they were doing episodes with him. He's basically a "Special Guest Star." But Archie hasn't appeared since the beginning of Season 4, they've lost Dr. Whale to iZombie (where David Anders is fantastic, but that's beside the point), and the last time Ruby was on was Season 3.
So I've been watching stuff from the first season via Netflix.
My brother says that the earliest season was more interesting, possibly due to being more grounded. I gotta admit, I kinda agree. Just seeing how everyone fits and what roles they have in both worlds is kinda fascinating.
That being said, looking forward to the new season.....
When does it start again?
One Strip! One Strip!
Well this doesn't make sense.
Did she go back in time or something?
And I hate that look...it looks TOO evil.
