I'm glad you started watching out of curiousity and now you're a convert. Is there a reason you were so reluctant to watch in the first place?
Could just be he'd never heard of it. :P
I know I didn't find out about it until partway through season one, when my mom showed it to me.
Victory! Honor! Destiny! Mutton! I first heard of it about two weeks before the third season ended. It looked interesting, but it wasn't showing over here and I don't like pirating TV Shows.
Then Season 2 started rerunning over here after the Frozen news, and I started watching. Now I'm pieating Season 3.
If you have Netflix, the whole series is up on there.
Victory! Honor! Destiny! Mutton!I don't have Netflix, nor the money for it. A pirate's life for me, then.
They do have medals for almost, and they're called silver!I was reluctant to watch it too. I'd heard about it since the first season, but the third season was about midway through before I started paying any attention. Until then, it was just that silly TV drama about real life fairy tale characters that I sometimes overhear women raving over.
I only started watching it because some colleagues in my household were watching it, and found myself liking it.

My Tumblr. Currently liveblogging Haruhi Suzumiya and revisiting Danganronpa V3.So wait? Does the new season start today, or next week?
One Strip! One Strip!Next week.
Today I learned Jiminy Cricket is Kaidan Alenko.
...nope, that broke my brain.
That is the main reason I love him :)
Someone leaked the first seven minutes of the season opener:
Me likey. Elsa and Anna seems sweet and likable, but Elsa still very much the character of the film, as showcased her still evident Power Incontinence
I like the dynamic of the group back in Storybrooke. Even Marion seems relatable. I was scared they were going to make her unlikable just to push Outlaw Queen and Woobie!Regina.
"If I reach for the stars, you can't hold me back"It would have been a huge misstep to make Marion unlikable. She's the victim here.
My Tumblr. Currently liveblogging Haruhi Suzumiya and revisiting Danganronpa V3.It's an interesting situation. Marion is right to fear and hate Regina, but everyone else knows Regina is trying to be good. We sympathise with both parties, and arguably want to see both succeed in retain Robin's affections, but know they can't both have him.
Robin really gets MVP here though. He's coming about this rationally. He isn't abandoning his and Regina's relationship, but knows that his and Marian's relationship is also valuable.
Poor Robin :(
And poor Marion, she's going to be incredibly confused when the rest of the cast tries explain everything to her.
"She's not evil anymore! She adopted a kid. Well, our grandson. And saved Prince charming after I had to crush his heart with a magic spell! She was really mean to Ariel, but she totally made up for that by giving her legs and telling her where to find her prince. And she saved everyone from her evil sister with The Power of Love. She did want to kill a mermaid that one time, but's it okay because she was just trying to find her son. Well, Emma's son...our grandson...who's our infant son's nephew..."

"If I reach for the stars, you can't hold me back"Regina is a terrible human being who ruined many lives out of bitterness and spite.
At the same time, she's recognized this and is making a genuine effort to better herself. This complicates her situation.
She's on a Redemption Quest that holds some very real weight; this is the reason why Redemption Usually Equals Death. Death is easy. It's quick, then it's done, and you can be remembered for what you died for rather than what you lived for. Nobody has to LIVE with you. Nobody has to see you every day, to be reminded of your crimes against them. To see the good things in your life and have to wonder, after everything you did, do you deserve to be happy right now? It's easier to forgive a corpse, and it's easier to die for an idea than to live for one.
That is what most interests me about Marion and Regina. Here is someone utterly unconnected from Henry, against whom Regina has committed a terrible wrong, and against whom Regina must now compete - not just for Robin, but for something far more elusive, something she may never receive or even deserve: forgiveness. The kind that comes from someone who wasn't there to see her change, and who is not emotionally invested in her physical, emotional, or psychological wellbeing as a result.

My Tumblr. Currently liveblogging Haruhi Suzumiya and revisiting Danganronpa V3.You know, my feelings towards Rumple are weird.
On one hand, I want to see him give up evil and get his happy ending.
On the other hand, I want to punch him repeatedly in the face and genitals.
Do the latter to help facilitate the former?
Mmm. Possibly.
But seriously, it's so complicated. I mean, scenes with Belle are heartwarming, and you really feel for the loss of Baelfire.
On the other hand, he's lying to Belle, killed Zelana (understandable BUT HE PROMISED BELLE GRAH) and seeing as I'm a Frozen fan turned OUAT fan, MY GOD MAN YOU LOCKED ELSA IN AN URN.
Now now, he could have just found that urn.
Victory! Honor! Destiny! Mutton!Oh please, it's been confirmed that he talks to Anna before Elsa goes in the urn.
They do have medals for almost, and they're called silver!why does no one send their kids to Charles Xavier's School for Gifted Youngsters
ophelia, you're breaking my heartCerebro can't detect anyone in Storybrooke.
Of course, don't you know anything about ALCHEMY?!- Twin clones of Ivan the GreatEh, X-Men can't actually cross over with OUAT. If they wanted to, the MCU totally could (Avengers 3: The Musical, featuring Queen Elsa) though. Both have established multiverses.
They do have medals for almost, and they're called silver!Besides, this isn't really a "Mutant problem", any children born in Storybrooke would be magic, not Mutants. So, Cerebro wouldn't detect them and Xavier can't haul them off to his compound and be trained as Child Soldiers for his own purposes.
Of course, don't you know anything about ALCHEMY?!- Twin clones of Ivan the Great
It's okay, we all know already ^^
