This might be an improvement: got yer step pyramid juxtaposed with a cityscape with flying vehicles to boot. But it does have a fantasy element — the feathered creature. That muddies things.

Oooooh, shiny!
I was gonna post that. Works for me.
There's an even better image in one of the Shadowrun sourcebooks, showing a man in a three-piece suit and Aztec headdress about to make a human sacrifice in front of a sales projection chart. If anybody can dig that up, it'd be perfect.
Ooh, that does sound perfect. It's an interior image, though, I take it, not on the cover?
Jet-a-Reeno!I'd need the name of the book it's in (as well as which edition it's a part of) and 2 weeks to get a scan.

Bump...since nothing's come on the last idea, I'm good with the Aztlan cover. Objections?
Well, there have been no objections and no other suggestions — swapped the image in.
Good enough. Locking up.
Much as I enjoy Rise Of Legends and think that it should have greater exposure, this...doesn't show the trope, and technically, the Cuotl ain't an example, as they aren't Mayincatec who have survived to the modern day, but are instead guys who exist under the rule of Ancient Astronauts in a setting that is quite random in its time period, depending on which civilization you're in.
Honestly though, I don't know of any pictures that can show the trope that come to my mind. Somebody mind helping me out here?
Still need More Dakka, and it's about time to start a real WAAAAAGH.
