you mean that's river's MO. His total QB in the 4th quarter is utterly abysmal

[up] I guess. Using this game book I found on nfl.com, I found out his stats for Q4. It's horrible. He was 1-6, for 8 yds, with an interception. When plugged into this QB rating calculator, he had a QB rating of 0.0 for the quarter.

Ouch.

Mad late but, holy shit did you guys see Geno Smith march down the field like a third-year starter? Granted, it was against the Bucs, but still...

Way better than that bum Sanchez.

Yeah he was pretty good, though I think Manuel had the better overall performance. #mostdefinatelynotaFSUfan

Today I met a real life Jets fan. Blew my mind.

[up][up] To elaborate, Sanchez was diagnosed with torn labrum in his right throwing shoulder. It will most likely require surgery and keep him on the bench for the majority of the season. Jets fans, looks like you're getting Geno Smith at the helm, whether you support him or not.

[up][up] We do exist, you know.

[up] I don't think anybody really wanted Sanchez to take another snap ever again. It's a disgrace Tim Tebow can't get a shot, but "Sanchize" is actually on an NFL roster.

BTW, congrats EF on your opening win against the Skins. You guys looked solid on D. And Vick peeled off a couple of good runs.

I just assumed you were a figment of my imagination.

Maybe I was just too drunk last night and Jets fans still don't really exist.

I don't know if I'll ever get used to TNF starting as early as Week 2...

Well, Geno continues his tale of two Smiths. He managed put up 214 yards with all the constantly dropped passes. OTOH, he threw some stupid, stupid, stupid INT's.

Was that the Patriots last night or a mid-level college team? Cause it certainly didn't look like them. Both teams looked sloppy, unfocused and generally all around bad. With literally no targets to throw to, I'd actually be worried if I was a Patriots fan this year. As for fans of the Jets, take heart. You only lost by 3 pts to the 2nd best team in the AFC, whose QB and coach are apparently having a lot of difficulty beating rookie Q Bs in their own division, you're already 1-1, there's really no place for you to go but up, and plus you get a long week ahead. Get rid of those stupid INT's and you might actually make something of yourselves this year.

I have long said Tom Brady only looks like The Second Coming because he had receivers that turned every pass of his into the immaculate reception. Minus that, he's another QB who gets chased around a lot.

A formidable pass rush has always been Brady's kryptonite. That's how the Giants beat him 2007.

The Pats should've really gotten a deep threat WR in free agency, Brady still has the deep ball, he just doesn't have anybody like Randy Moss to go catch them...Dobson and Thompkins are obviously not ready yet.

My personal favorite is the Seattle Seadras. Although I like the Dugtrio wearing Browns helmets.

Sanchez officially placed on IR, designated to return list. Means he could be back, but there's also a chance he won't be.

Vick Ballard, Starting RB of the Colts, suffered a freak ACL tear at practice earlier in the week, and is headed to IR. He is expected to miss the rest of the season.

Edit: QB Josh Freeman of the Bucs is reportedly expected to request a trade, as stories of the widening rift between himself and Coach Greg Schiano, and an ongoing back-and-forth power struggle between GM Mark Dominik and Schiano over control of the drafting power continues to spread.

Chargers-Eagles game came down to the wire. Chargers won 33-30; one of their players took a pretty nasty injury, though.

Ladies and Gents, your 2013 Super Bowl Champions, the San Diego Chargers. Since the last 4 Eagles home opener opponents have gone on to win the Super Bowl in their respective years, let's just call the season now. [lol]

In all seriousness though, it's maddening to see literally no decent defensive play whatsoever, and have the game come down to the wire. and lose.

Carolina dropped a close one, as did Dallas, and IND never really managed to look good against the Fins. Right now, HOU and TEN are headed to overtime.

People say "captain checkdown" like it's a bad thing but really it's better than incomplete or interception prone
