Okay. I think since Joe and Andy are such opposites, they shouldn't exactly be friends. Something of an adversarial relationship.
Oh,and I need to run to the store. I'll continue playing once I get back.
I see Rick as the kinda guy who will try to keep peace between his comrades.
Mad as a hatterI wonder how the class views Kyle...
Should be fun for him.
I was thinking Andy respects Joe's athletic ability, but that's about it.
Underneath the bridge The tarp has sprung a leak And the animals I've trapped have all become my petsThat works. Since they're both on sports teams, there should be at least a bit of respect between them.
I would think Andy would not like a delinquent like Kyle very much.
Ok, so I see Kyle as maybe a male variant of a Defrosting Ice Queen
Mad as a hatterYeah, kinda. He only defrosts when talking to certain people.
I kind of picture Anne-Marie as that girl that most people know, but few people know really well.
Life is like a game of Mahjong. Sometimes you need to take risks if you want to come out ahead.Probably Alice isn't really close to any of the rest of the characters, although she is probably pleasant to all of them in the interactions they do have. If this was a big school, she might not even know all of you. If the school is smaller, I see the interactions going this way:
Andy: Disapproval, mixed with pity. Why does he have to throw away the gifts and talents that he has?
Joe: Maybe they have run together from time to time. Seems like a perfectly nice guy.
Kyle: A little bit scary. What's his deal?
Mary Sue: Only known through the newspaper column. Respects her writing skills, but wishes she could write on something more substantial than gossip.
Rick and Anne Marie: They both seem nice, even if they don't move in the same circles as Alice. Somewhat intrigued about Anne-Marie's Quebec background (something totally removed from her world).
First they ignore you. Then they laugh at you. Then they fight you. Then you win.By the way, I'm assuming that the original high school was located in Texas, mainly because of the LBJ name of the high school (and the fact that the OP is from Texas). This probably doesn't make much difference, but I'm using it as canon anyway.
First they ignore you. Then they laugh at you. Then they fight you. Then you win.Sure, that's fine. I was thinking this is a fairly small school, maybe 50 or so people in the graduating class.
Underneath the bridge The tarp has sprung a leak And the animals I've trapped have all become my petsI kinda see Mary Sue as a Defrosting Ice Queen. I doubt that she has many friends due to her newspaper column, "Sue's News." As far as relationships are concerned:
Andrew: "Typical Jock. I'm not surprised. Everyone wants to know what he's going to do with himself now that he's been kicked off the team. This reporter is hoping that he gets his act together in time for the next season. The football team desperately needs another State Championship."
Joseph: "The duality that he expresses, being a history buff and jock, is intriguing. Despite his injury last season, he continues playing soccer. You have to respect someone like that."
Kyle: "What can I say about this delinquent that people don't already know? He doesn't talk much, he gets into fights, and occasionally skips out on school. This reporter wonders if there isn't more to Kyle than meets the eye. After all, that's how it is in the movies..."
Rick: "Highly intellectual. Spends a lot of time in the weight room (God only knows why...), not that this reporter is complaining.... He's been known to open doors for ladies, including this reporter. Is possessed of a love for the arts, which a majority of this school's population is sorely lacking. If only he'd speak up for himself once in a while."
Anne-Marie: "This reporter finds this particular Quebecois interesting. Skilled fencer, literary buff, friendly, the list goes on. This reporter has read Mr. Chevalier's work (a copy was left in her locker by a mysterious stranger), and she has to say: It's not bad. I may make the effort to read more. It's better that that Elliot Haynes tripe by far..."
Alice: "There are rumors that Alice belongs to some kind of cult, and this reporter won't attempt to confirm or deny, but she has to admit, it would explain alot. How can someone be so cheerful and positive all the time? There's definitely something going on here."

Give the world the best you have and you will get kicked in the teeth. Give the world the best you have anyway. You got Rick almost perfectly.
Mad as a hatterSue has a crush on him, so she would notice pratically everything about him. There are subtle (and not-so-subtle) cues that tell you as much.

Give the world the best you have and you will get kicked in the teeth. Give the world the best you have anyway. That makes sense, too bad I am bad at picking that kind of stuff up. Something that is sure to transfer into Rick.
Mad as a hatterI have an idea for a story arc-ish type thing. I assume you guys won't mind if I introduce new plot elements?
Underneath the bridge The tarp has sprung a leak And the animals I've trapped have all become my petsGo for it.
Give the world the best you have and you will get kicked in the teeth. Give the world the best you have anyway.Alright. It will probably have to wait a little bit though. I'll see when the right time is.
Underneath the bridge The tarp has sprung a leak And the animals I've trapped have all become my petsSounds cool! Do you mind if we add other background-style details, or do you want to take the lead in introducing your world?
First they ignore you. Then they laugh at you. Then they fight you. Then you win.Can Kyle get a sword soon?
Bokhura: Yeah, feel free to add some background stuff or introduce new stuff. I'll want to introduce some of the major stuff though, at least at first.
Nick: Sure, I guess. If you can figure out a way that makes sense. Just remember what I said about realistic abilities for high schoolers.
Underneath the bridge The tarp has sprung a leak And the animals I've trapped have all become my petsHow about a sword in the back of the cave?
If we're eventually doing weapons, I see Joe as more of an archer type. His build would more easily facilitate that.
So first off, I think it would be good if we discussed the relationships our characters have with each other, if any. Sound good?
