A few tips for you, moni:
1. Tropers are not fond of 4channers, and Anonymous is not fond of TV Tropes. You can go onto both websites, but I guarantee you that mentioning TV Tropes on any board will net you a dozen comments about how the website is for neckbeard aspies (which may be true in some cases, but we're not talking about that right now). Same for here; remember rules one and two.
2. /a/ is a very...unique place. They love their waifus, but dislike moe. They like One Piece, but not Dragonball. I could go on for days. You could try to make a thread asking what shows they enjoy, but you might get 100 responses of Boku No Pico.

The above post is right in the first account, but wrong in the second. Just because most of the posters in /a/ are conveniently named Anonymous (except tripfags, which you should avoid in most cases), it doesn't mean that they're the same person, there's great variety of people with an equally big variety of tastes. Give it a try, see if there are threads that interest you, read those, ignore the rest.
Oh, and remember the site is very NSFW, and people will assume you're up to date with the series that's being discussed.
I just meant the majority of /a/nons. Still, your point stands.
Actually /m/ is pretty mild about it. Having a relatively complete database of Banpresto products helps.
I don't know why people keep listing image boards and different sections of image boards and acting like people should expect to know what they are talking about.
Modified Ura-nage, Torture RackExcelion is the only one worth listening to on this subject. Please ignore the opinions of everyone else in this thread.

Always, somewhere, someone is fighting for you. As long as you remember them, you are not alone.Eh? Why is that?
...a little brother should belong to his older sister, right? - Orimura ChifuyuEh? Why is that?
@recon5:
So, even people outside the board that starts with bill have touches in Jerkass in them?
Re: Excelion: Because he actually goes there?
I lurk on /a/ and they seem to be mostly fine with TV Tropes. They even throw around the names of tropes there (Deconstruction and Gainax Ending, for example).
MAL || vndb || BlogHuh, didn't know that. Guess I shouldn't ask why...
I'm a (socialist) professional writer serializing a WWII alternate history webnovel."Deconstruction" is hardly a TV Tropes-exclusive word. We may have influenced the context in which it's used, though. Gainax Ending is definitely a TV Tropes thing though.
Always, somewhere, someone is fighting for you. As long as you remember them, you are not alone. That's because, believe it or not, a great margin of people here goes to /a/.
...a little brother should belong to his older sister, right? - Orimura ChifuyuNews to me.

I've never been there, and have no intention to.
I think I will. Just to see what it's about. I don't know which one applies more in this case; know your enemy or gaze at the abyss and it shall gaze back.
I'm a (socialist) professional writer serializing a WWII alternate history webnovel. It's not that bad. There could be a whole lot of bashing and general "I hate the anime you like", but it usually doesn't get that bad. You could just ignore threads like that. Discussions are generally entertaining.
Plus it's also nice to know where all those memes come from.
But well, opinions. It's most definitely not for everyone.

MAL || vndb || Blogi dont think its a bad site
silly memes are fun enough to troll with
That seems... unnecessarily harsh and dictatorially. How does that solve anything?
These are the words that shall come from my mouth. I shall be known for speaking them.
Don't know where to put this, but I think it belongs here better, do any of go to /a/, a subboard of youknowwhat, and share some experiences?
By the way, what does /a/ like and dislike? I know they hate the Big 3, even if One Piece gets less slack, but if you are a Naruto, Bleach or OP fan, do you still go to /a/?
