Motoko is a VR Helmet with a HUD which strikes me as something different than this IMO. (Turn A Gundam, Gundam 00 also used it.) so is Geordi now that I think about it.

Sparkling and glittering! Jan-Ken-Pon!They still count as visors, as they can see out of them. Especially with Geordi, since it's called a visor time and time again in the series.
I like that a lot; good choices of images and media. I think it's fine as is.

Likes: being left alone, food. Dislikes: You personally, even if we never met.I'll do it once this thread comes to a conclusion to use it.
Inspired by yours.
That's a nice variety of famous visors, gets my support.

Fine by me.
Rhymes with "Protracted."Nice...DRCEQ, I think you got trumped.
Tried to have the rows related by loose types. So Row 1: Visor part of the helmet. Row 2: Visors without any lenses, Row 3: Reflective, they show what the person is seeing. Row 4: Visors with a super narrow slit-like lens.
The fact that he still included Motoko Kusanagi in that collage means I have NO PROBLEM with it. :D
Caption ideas?
Look out for that door!
Sparkling and glittering! Jan-Ken-Pon!All I can think of is putting a hottip saying who is who and from what series.
That's a for-sure, but it needs something to attach to.
Lets see.... all mine suck.
"look out for that door!"
"Eyes Are The Window To The Soul... not for these guys."
"These guys need extra acting to show emotion."
Sparkling and glittering! Jan-Ken-Pon!"Hey, wipe that blank stare off your face!
FYI, the people in the pic are:
GokaiRed from Kaizoku Sentai Gokaiger, Cobra Commander from GI Joe, Motoko Kusanagi from Ghost In The Shell, Geordie LaForge, Star Trek The Next Generation, Astronaut Scott Parazynski of NASA, Master Chief from Halo, Cyclops from X-Men, Robocop from, well, Robocop.

Ghilz's image is really awesome. It shows just about all possible variations of the trope. Nice work there.

Ghilz, make sure it's Ghost In The Shell Stand Alone Complex, not just Ghost In The Shell.
I changed the hottip in my caption suggestion, thanks for catching that.
Generally, it's better to just pothole the names to the works. It winds up so much shorter.
Fight smart, not fair.
Someone recently created a new trope about what is basically, a visor version of Opaque Lenses and Sinister Shades. The wearer can see out of them, but other people can't see inside.
Looking through the examples shown, I thought that a collage of various different visors would work, and came up with this picture◊ showing Motoko Kusanagi from Stand Alone Complex, a NASA space suit, Cobra Commander from GI Joe, and Geordie Laforge from Star Trek The Next Generation.
What do you think? It covers various forms of visors. They're not glasses, and they're not masks. Cobra Commander's facemask on his helmet counts as a visor because it's part of the helmet.
