Dear Diary,

Christmas Eve at last! I decided to take advantage of the general uneventfulness of yesterday by doing some more novel work and sometimes hanging out with the Neighborhood Kids. I still don't know whether I should appoint Noah or Joan as my editor, but I'm leaning toward Joan. As I said two days ago, she seems more interested in the whole thing than Noah, and I remember how she drew that art based on my story a few months back.

Anyway, because the weather was nice (at least as nice as it gets in December in the northeast), I played a bit of one-on-one basketball with Lucille. She's a really good basketball player, as seems to be the case for every other New Yorker. I still don't know much about her, but I have this weird feeling that we might get along really well in the future. Just a gut feeling though. There's just so much potential in our kind of thing, you know?

She won our little match. I took it calmly, as usual, and congratulated her with a "good job" and a fistbump. Lucille responded by giving me a fistbump back and flashing a wide-ass grin at me. I think that face will forever be ingrained in my mind. I'd show you, but I doubt I'd be able to do a good job showing it in all its glory. So just imagine if the Cheshire Cat's face was plastered onto an eleven-year-old Latina's head.

Both of my parents are working overtime today (even on Christmas fucking Eve, unfortunately. They have off tomorrow though), so I made dinner myself today! It was just a microwaved hotdog, but it's definitely something! After dinner I took a shower and so did Hitler.
