... I don't know about offensive, but that ad is kind of unpleasant . Because you know, the next time I'm slicing a knife through raw chicken I really want to think of it as a lounging seductive woman. Or consider the possibility of being sexually attracted to raw chicken carcasses.
Be not afraid...Yes, it's silly and hypocritical, but it's entirely to be expected. They're an animal rights organization. Of course they're going to criticize the animal killing industry's methods, even if they happen to use similar methods.
So very hypocritical.

If we disagree, that much, at least, we have in commonThey really are hippie-crits!
ᐅᖃᐅᓯᖅ ᐊᑕᐅᓯᖅ ᓈᒻᒪᔪᐃᑦᑐᖅYeah. If I had a dollar for every time PETA are a bunch of hypocrite.
Well, to be fair, that is one sexy chicken. I'd eat that bird all night long.
On a serious note, if you find yourself sexually aroused by dead animals, perhaps you need to re-evaluate why you joined PETA in the first place...

Can we please ignore PETA the same way we ignore the KKK?
PETA's much more vocal than the KKK though.
The KKK keeps it's head down.
Charlie Tunoku is a lover and a fighter.Well, come on now. The PETA consists of annoying idiots. The KKK consists of annoying, racist, murderous idiots.
There is a difference.

But they seem to know where they are going, the ones who walk away from Omelas.Wouldn't that logic imply that the former would be easier to ignore since they are LESS aggravating?
Thats like saying you can ignore a bee sting but not a fly buzzing around you.
Point. But PETA initiatives are positively whacky, I can see why they attract attention.
My only problem with this is that, by being so high-profile, PETA makes the whole animal rights movement, and. to some degree, even the whole environmentalism movement, look just as silly and badly thought out as it is.
And this is a very bad thing.

But they seem to know where they are going, the ones who walk away from Omelas. So, let me get this straight
PETA using very attractive airbrushed pictures of naked females to further their aims is fine but when someone takes the piss its not fine?
Dutch LesbianI don't know what "takes the piss" is supposed to mean in this context; I'm pretty sure the ad isn't meant to insult anyone.
Anyway... this is lulzy for many, many reasons. I'm surprised that PETA hasn't folded yet, but I guess their new pornography enterprise will earn them some revenue to keep operating on. That is not a sexy chicken; photographers get weird ideas all the time when doing pieces for articles.
Yup. For their fur campaing. It's not up yet but they are planning to do it. It's going to be www.peta.xxx They even got Ron Jeremy doing stuff for them.
You know, I can summarise PETA ad campaing by this: "Lost honor, gained fame"

It's not mocking PETA, it's for an article about chicken skin.
PETA... they are a funny lot, aren't they? I think their attitude becomes easier to understand if you set aside the notion that "human" is distinct from "animal" and "meat" is distinct from "dead body". From their perspective, this is a picture of a dead body manipulated into a traditionally seductive pose in order to promote murder, whereas their own campaigns with sexual content are intended to discourage murder and do not feature dead bodies in an exploitative or positive context.

~shrug~
Another PETA-does-something-retarded moment. Move along, nothing to see here.
I am now known as Flyboy. It would also be necrophilia, but PETA didn't mention this.
WHAT ARE YOU TRYING TO SAY PETA?

I quite like that ad. I think it's funny.
The dumber people think you are, the more surprised they're going to be when you kill them.

That's the pot calling the kettle black;PETA should just feel silly condemning this because they have used sex in their ads before or does this apply to only animals because they have more rights than humans in their mind.
