Motion to pull
Per OP, pic doesn't adequately demonstrate the trope.
Great example, poor picture. Support pull.
Fight smart, not fair.Yup, good examples don't automatically generate good images. In fact the good examples seem to fall prey to JAFAAC more often.
Seconding. EDIT: Ninjaseconded; thirding.

Goodbye Dr. Nick! (Popped him on to the Image Links page.)
So, any suggestions for the image?
Alt account of Angeldog 2437.Futurama comes to mind. A shady trenchcoat merchant offers to sell Fry some Gills so he can breath underwater. He offers to exchange them for Fry's lungs
"Uhh.. sure. Take lungs now, get gills in 2 weeks. Nurse, prep him for operation."
"Les do it."
The goon holds down Fry while the merchant takes out a scalpel. Leela comes and kicks both their butts just in time.
I like that idea, can you get a shot?
Fight smart, not fair.I'll see if I can find it.
That's not bad.
Reality is that, which when you stop believing in it, doesn't go away. -Philip K. DickI like it.
Lots of good things about that. The seedy background, the clothes, the implied lack of anesthetic.
Agreed on all counts
Supporting the Futurama one.
Also like the Futurama one.
Alt account of Angeldog 2437.Sure.
Maybe the quote? (I don't watch Futurama though, so probably there are better ones)
"Lay down on table. I take lungs now, you get gills next week... Uhh you might feel small pain."
Alt account of Angeldog 2437.For the record, I'm paraphrasing that quote.
Oh, ok.
Alt account of Angeldog 2437.The actual dialogue between Fry, the shady merchant, and the goon is too much to hold in a caption, but paraphrasing the merchant's lines like that would work fine, and it's not like the caption needs to be there to explain whats going on.
Want to just put up the picture then? It doesn't seem like there are any objections.
I like the paraphrased dialogue for the caption...you could put [...] in the places where you're connecting pieces of the dialogue.
I don't see the part about him being untrustworthy or under-qualified, all I see is affordable surgery.
I TELL YOU HWAT!
