Production is finally moving forwards.

I imagine it will be a lot like Smokin' Aces 2 and Death Race 2 and just remake the first one.

They could try to make it more loyal to the comics, this time.

How would it have been less loyal?

They killed Angelina Jolie in the first one so my entire reason for watching this is sort of bleeding out on the floor with a hole in her temple.

There had better be a sentient walking pile of shit in this one. Otherwise, FUCK THIS.

First one was a cheap ripoff of the Matrix in all but plot, so can't say I have high hopes for the second one. I might check it out though, I have a soft spot for crappy action thrillers.

No. Shithead, from the comic. The Fox was also much cooler than the movie version's and why oh why can't I see Mr. Rictus on the silver screen? DO WANT.

How was it a Matrix rip-off? Aside from the "ordinary white-collar guy kidnapped/inducted by secret organization" thing, their plots are very different.

I never thought Wanted was a good comic to start. Bad guy wins but that's about the only interesting thing, lets do it again and call it old man Logan!

The greenish cinematography and the cartoon physics both feel very Matrix-y.

Anyway, regardless of how awesome the comic may be and how much it may deserve a proper film adaptation, this one sucked and it's a shame Mc Avoy's good name is associated with it. Sequel? Do not want.

This. It wasn't the plot, it was the shameless stylistic similarities, abusing physics/bullet time to provide style where there was no substance. At least in Britain, it was even advertised as "the new Matrix", "this years The Matrix" etc.
