I've been looking for a picture where Spider-man character Curt Connors is crying, as it would be a perfect page image. (Connor's being a herpatologist and all.) I havn't had much luck however. The best I could come up with is a shot of Curt looking kind of sad in a screencap taken from Spectacular Spider-man, though I think we could certainly do better.

[up] Toads aren't reptiles, otherwise I'd say great example.

It says reptiles and amphibians in the first line.

*quick Wikipedia check*

I stand corrected; I looked through the examples and they're all reptiles, so I thought the amphibian parts were a mistake. That being said, if the Hypnotoad is going to be a contender, I'd rather have a shot of it actually hypnotizing someone as opposed to just it by itself.

I, personally, would prefer to split this into actual tropes instead of "tropes that are wrong" on the page now with Hypnotic Reptile being one. However, that is for TRS. Like Hypnotoad until we can TRS again.

Hypnotoad isn't an example. It's an alien creature. It's not like the writers of Futurama think toads can actually hypnotise people.

It does not matter who I am. What matters is, who will you become? - motto of Omsk Bird

[up] Interesting...I wouldn't have known that, I never watched Futurama. Any other thoughts?

Just for the record, The Hypnotoad (which itself could use some redirects) is about animals or plants that can hypnotize others, though specifically being an amphibian or reptilian creature isn't part of it.
