Still twitchy and not his usual self, Alvin took one look at Loki's map, hardly giving that "Dandy" or whatever person any attention.

"We'll put it to a vote or something."

Alvin promptly raised his hand.

"I say we take the upper route. I don't care for any traps or obstacle courses. Taking down security seems to be the more convenient, simpler option. We've alerted their presence already anyway."

"You've made your point, Gavrill!" B.B. Hood angrily got up right up to Gavrill, but then calm down slightly. "I mean it takes a long time to accept what one has to do when faced with a choice like that..."

The last few words sounded less like the confident Darkhunter and more a little girl who had to make a very difficult choice in the past.

"Oh, she was just worried about me!" Maria said still rather loopy from pain medication, giggling a bit. "Whatever they did, I did not feel anything!"

Maria looked over her own body, rather lucid at the moment due to Toph's concern. "Oh... I still have bites and a broken arm, so that needs to be fixed too!"

Seiga blinked twice. Did Maria just giggle? Understanding suddenly dawned upon her, and the hermit started chuckling as well. "I'll gladly do it, if you don't mind?", she purred to the vampire hunter.

Turning to Vhane once more, she asked, "I'd also like some of whatever stuff you injected into Maria. I have far too many grouchy team members."

Magic

-The Pain Engine moves on to Maria's other wounds, injecting, extracting, and stitching.-

-The haemonculi look at Rayman for some time. In their long lives they have never seen a creature with floating limbs, but treat them with the same care as they would a particularly rich client, using their own mounted scalpels and injectors.-

-With Toph's outburst, the Dark Eldar share a look. Such telekinetic ability is the mark of a powerful psyker, yet there was not a sign of Warp activity. The twins study this new specimen with considerably more attention.-

Thissss one issss blind.

We will ressstore her ssssight.

-They begin to look over the Earthbender for wounds.-

-Vhane is delighted to see that his new allies are ready to apply their skills to the task, sparing him the drudge of torturing cooperation out of them.-

Corpses? Oh yes indeed, woman, you shall have them. As for your drugs...

-The Archon nods towards the haemonculi, who look somewhat uncertain.-

We... we musssst adjussst the dosssage, Lord Vhane. To a mon-keigh, the sssslightessst excessss could be fatal.

Our laboratory holdsss them. Come.

-The twins turn, their engine continuing to repair Maria as they head towards a hallway leading deeper into the spire.-

Science

-Vilstareth, now deprived of his array of drug dispensers, screams as his remaining arm is ripped out of its socket. It turns into a gurgle as Urza's staff pierces his chest and slowly makes its way up his throat, only falling into silence once his brain is burned away.-

-As the haemonculus' corpse is unceremoniously shoved overboard, Aurelia takes in the scene, listening intently to the raging debate. The stoic leader's weapon is of interesting design, though she doubts it can rival the more inventive weapons of Commorragh. The hard-shelled creature remains an enigma, its sense of morality grossly unadapted to the universe they live in. Perhaps she should have intervened to show them what a Dark Eldar prison offers.-

-The long-haired woman's appetite in particular catches her attention. How deliciously ironic would it be for Vect, known for dining on the still-beating hearts of lesser species, to be eaten alive by a mere mon-keigh! Perhaps she can be persuaded to remain in Commorragh after Vect is dead...-

-The flotilla of skimmers makes it to the wreckage of the Weatherlight, a few Hellions rising from it bearing what small bits and pieces they could find.-

A most interesting craft you entered with, humans. It bears a vague resemblance to those of your Astartes, and yet is unlike anything they would ever design. Where did you acquire it?

And for once, Little Miss Crazy-Prepared was caught completely off-guard as the squishy, squiggly, slimy, sticky, seemingly-sapient cephalopod collided with her face in mid-air, successfully sabotaging her in-progress landing and making her fall flat on her ass, letting out a muffled "MMFPPFHMMMMMFPH" and possibly unintentionally flashing anyone standing in the right place.

Left hand keeping hold of Gako and Koryu, she immediately brought the other up and under the squid to attempt to pry it off of her face, still accompanied by a series of frustrated "MMMPPPHPHPH"s and quieter, more muted "mmphphphhhmmh"s and occasionally punctuated by a few understandable choice words. But the little shit kept screaming, squiggling and inhaling, meaning that every time Satsuki seemed to be close to getting the thing off, its constant squiggling ensured it got stuck right back in place again. At some point in her struggle, her right hand also ended up stuck under the super-suction-y squiggly squid.

It was a glorious sight to behold. The ever-proud and unshakable Satsuki Kiryuin was flat on her ass having her face violated by an alien squid, struggling and failing to get it off.

At one point, she managed to get her mouth uncovered between squiggles, and resorted calling out to the only person she knew in this place.

"mmph RYUKO!mmrir-" the squiggling muffled her again, "Help mm MMRHPH-thmmmmm THING OFF-rrrrrrmmmmph"

It was not her proudest moment. And for once in her life, Satsuki just kind of wanted to find a nice dishwasher somewhere and just turn it on and crawl inside.

"I would love it," Maria blushed at Seiga's proposition as the Pain Engine picked her up again to continue healing her. Maria still seemed to not be best state for rational thought, unknowingly agreeing to Seiga's proposition.

However, she looked to have gotten rather quiet afterward. Feeling someone poking around inside your own body was disconcerting even if one was numb to the pain that it would cause. The fact that her arm was also cut into so as to repair the broken bone added to this. Thankfully, the various bites on her entire body were healed up rather easily, leaving no scaring as far as those were concerned. The injured back and broken arm would however be tougher to heal.

Shielding himself with his forearm, shrapnel pinging off armour-plating and the sheer density of his ego, Sam's smile promoted itself to a barely containable snicker. He was fighting the greatest political metaphor he'd ever seen, and he'd just blown up the entire public sector. In his head, Sundowner was singing the Star Spangled Banner.

Swollen with the joy of a world with no fucks to give, empowered by the vuvuzelas blaring in his giddy heart, Sam parried Lady Killberty's kick and skidded back on his heels with the force of the blow, trailing hues and sparks through the air. And then, as the girl in the trenchcoat landed, the heavens converged into a chorus of illegality.

Sam had come to a stop in exactly the right place, and discovered he wasn't the only Brazilian in the room.

Well, there went the neighbourhood. That was it, the final bald piece of the puzzle, the only thing he needed to know; this wasn't real. At least, it probably wasn't real. He couldn't discount it, coming from a place in the world where men like Armstrong casually glued their arms back on, and the entire country had been brought to its knees by a Russian pretending to be a cowboy pretending to be British, but it felt like a safe enough conclusion to jump to until he found something else. Lady Killberty probably would have shown up on the news.

Sundowner must have plugged him into a VR program while he was sleeping, decided it was the next step in their arms race of being complete assholes to eachother. The man was about a thousand percent Alabamian, after all, he'd be all over this. He was probably watching all this in a codec with Monsoon, recording himself an attachment so he could mail the good news straight to Armstrong. That amazing dick.

Oh well. If he was on show, the least he could do was be entertaining. Maybe he could wrangle this into a pay rise.

Sam leapt into the air again, CNT muscles bunching and springing into release in a sudden burst of power, and angled his descent above the falling machine's upper body. The girl with the eyebrows and the strict personal grooming choices was being attacked by some kind of squid, just like one of his Japanese animes, but that wasn't his target. Lady Killberty's head was unoccupied, undefended, and the head could turn, which meant vertebrae, which meant un-armoured sections, and all of that together meant an easy target. Sherlock Holmes had nothing on him.

In one smooth movement, Murasama slid back into the sheath. Laughing like an idiot, Sam pulled the trigger.

Whenever Maria poked Rayman's nose nose, it would make a noise much like a honking horn. Rayman couldn't help but giggle at the sensation. "Yep, sure do!" He said proudly.

Then the hummonculi patched up Ragman's feet, good as new. "Wow, that feels great!" Rayman said, testing them out. His feet, pumped with the same substance Maria had pumped into her, seemingly developed a mind of their own, and began a rather giddy tap dance routine. "Looks like I've got some hap-hap-happy feet. Thanks, docs!"

Returning to his place, Urza seated himself once again to resume his studies and his plans. He paid little heed to the remainder of the argument. The turtle was one of those rare fools who would cling to his point of view in the face of annihilation. Had his views been less naïve and absurd, such a thing would have been admirable. As it was, the artificer fully expected Donatello to die first if it came to battle, or even before, by subterfuge.

But the mention of his failure to recreate his greatest work caught his attention.

"The craft is not mine," he said, "I was merely the tool for its creation and evolution. It was an ideal given form and this is merely a poor imitation. Yet had I succeeded, even that might well have brought death to this world."

It would do no harm to give Aurelia more hints of strength and weakness to ponder about, and he couldn't resist correcting those who had already spoken.

Chuckling at Maria's response, Seiga glided over to her side. Running her hands over the vampire hunter's skin, poking her at random places, she noticed that Maria had been mostly healed up, barring the arm and back.

"There's not much for me to do now, is there? You seem all fixed up.", she said in mock dismay, looking at Maria while she ran a finger across her chin. Tousling Maria's hair playfully, Seiga leaned in to inspect her arm closer. It was healing, certainly, and so she left it at that.

"Sorry Maria, but I'm going to have to follow those two gentlemen," she said, gesturing to the haemonculi," It'd be nice to be able to put you in such a state again sometime in the future after all."

Straightening, she followed the two haemonculi to where they stored their drugs, picking up Kharak - or what was left of him - on the way.

MAGIC

Maria blushed as Seiga ran her hands all over her body, though she was mostly numb to it since the painkiller numbed everything.

"Sorry," Maria apologized as Seiga left, and blushed again. "But I would like that."

Seiga was not able to help heal her, the broken arm and injured back being all that was left to heal... though the broken arm soon was healed back up and was sewn back up, oddly leaving minimal scarring on it. Maria seemed to test the arm once it was free from the Pain Engine's tampering and it worked just like it should. This left her back to be fully healed up. Maria still found it odd to feel something inside her own body tampering with her very nervous system, even if it did not hurt. However, soon enough her back was healed and sewn up, and she was let go by the pain engine. Again, there was minimal scarring on her back, similar to and just as odd as the minimal scarring on her arm. Maria stumbled a bit to find her footing or because she was still under the effects of the painkiller and once she was happy with how her body was, she followed after Seiga and the two haemonculi.

Team Magic- Atrocitus

Atrocitus had not flown far before a terrible but all too familiar spoke above him.

Wretch

Should Atrocitus look up, all he would see right now is the evening sky of Commoragh painted in disastrous hues of black and purple- an evil sunset hung in the sky forever. But the sky was darkening unnaturally, even now the light began to fade around him....

Then he would see him, Atrocitus would see- a figure that was right now still a speck in the Eldar sky. But he was plummeting fast and plummeting towards him.

"Wretch, did I not tell you to disappear?"

Then suddenly Icarax was there and the sound of a howling wind would fill Atrocitus' ears. With the ferocity of an oncoming Train Icarax threw himself at Atrocitus, his body cloaked with a burning darkness. A spear of swirling shadow appeared in his hand and he thrust it forwards towards the red lantern, hoping to skewer the beast then and there.

Atrocitus grunted in annoyance at the showy display of power. While Icarax's attack would have killed a lesser being, to the Founder of the Red Lanterns it was merely highly telegraphed. He rolled sideways midair, dodging the incoming spear of darkness. "If you actually think I am following you, you are completely mistaken!" Atrocitus spoke to the Makuta. "Through circumstance I am heading for the same direction as you are! Though if you wish to move on ahead, you are gladly welcome to it!"

Atrocitus really did not want to waste his newly recharged power on this madman. He figured the best way of avoiding violent confrontation is to play on the creature's ego. If the right buttons were pushed, he might even earn himself a God-like meatshield......

Golden sighed in relief as she used her hover thrusters to slowly descend, even if she didn't need to protect them it sure felt good to help them bring down the giant metal monster. It was so big and imposing. It was scary, reminded her of the king, and those weren't exactly good memories. She couldn't help but wonder about the Prince back home, what her disappearance could have caused.

The explosion and the flailing of the metallic beast startled her though, enough to use her second thruster burst to clear away from it and the shrapnel. She landed safely and surely in her spike-like feet. It seemed to her the battle wasn't over, or at least according to cocky grinning man. Also to her came the cries of help of one of her protectors, calling for Ryuko, the angry black haired girl that was her team mate. She hastily went to her aid nonetheless.

Magic

-The Pain Engine lets go of Maria once she is fully healed.-

-As the group proceeds deeper into the spire, the twins can be seen to mutter to each until they enter a large chamber ringed with cages. Some moan when they see the newcomers, others stop making noise entirely. Enormous, multilimbed creatures stand guard, their bodies stretched and twisted by muscle and implanted blades, while their faces, though swollen and enlarged, are still Vhane's. At the center waits a complicated machine, a slab of wraithbone surrounded by metal tentacles, cutting devices and medical tools, currently restraining the unconscious Cortez.-

The mon-keigh isss ready.

Remove him, we musssst proceed with the othersss.

-The Wracks remove Cortez from the machine, which folds up, awaiting the next patient.-

-The twins give their orders. One Wrack lifts a cage containing a dozen slaves, while others head outside the lab for some unknown errand. The slaves are taken out of the cage and prodded over towards a workbench full of ominous glowing jars, then split into pairs.-

Which will we work on firsssst?

The ssssssightlessss one.

-The Pain Engine picks up Toph, moving towards the central machine.-

Science

-Aurelia is indeed impressed. The power to summon and control such creations is nearly unheard of in Commorragh, which raises the question of why such a potent psyker has in his retinue humans and mutants armed with sticks. Urza's warning does not escape her, but knows better than to confront him.-

Hm. And could you perform such a feat again?

-The flotilla now reaches the tunnel that leads back to the surface and starts climbing. Aurelia looks over the disparate collection of humans, orks, and Donatello.-

We will soon return to the air, humans. We will first head to my spires, before the assault on Vect. ... Perhaps you would care to obtain better weapons?

Icarax

The Makuta hurtled past the Red Lantern spear in hand. Thanks to his timely maneuver, Atrocitus was not skewered.

"Do you still take me for a fool Atrocitus?"

There was a sudden onrush of chaotic air as Icarax killed his plummet with a flap of his wings. He hung there in the air like a stain, the shadow swirling in his hand- a maelstrom of destructive power.

"We are after the same artifact, red fool. You and your maggots are after this artifact; for what purpose? I care not...."

Slowly, Icarax allowed himself to drift upwards till he was once more above the Red Lantern. He peered down at him with a cold glint in his eyes.

"Beast, a master of shadows knows when a lie is spoken and knows a coward when he sees one. You dare not deny that you are not of this world, nor that this artifact is essential for your escape. You have told me much, rage wielder and more could be wrung from your craven mind if I had the patience. But now you hinder me and your attempts at pacifying are pathetic."

Icarax began to idly twirl the spear in his hand, leaving black stains that hung in the air and refused to leave.

"Know then beast that I intend to slay each and every single one of your foolish allies. I will walk over their cold corpses to claim this artifact of yours and I will leave this rotten pit. Now choose, Atrocitus: will you run like the coward you are or must I throw your corpse to death where it waits. Choose quickly for I have no patience for nonsense."

"And if you kill me here, I will be waiting for you back at the base of our employers," Atrocitus said, showing no signs of being intimidated. "The beings who forcefully brought us all to collect these pieces in the first place are immensely powerful and can warp the very fabric of reality at will. That includes death as well! I actually died one before, and I came back thanks to them! And I highly doubt Moja would tolerate you killing others he had painstakingly chosen for his dirty work.

"And before you say that you will merely kill Moja as well, actually stop and think," Atrocitus continued. "He had the ability to wisk you, the great Makuta of Shadows, without you being actually aware of this until after you were deposited in some Blood-forsaken planet, and can resurrect the dead just as easily. What are the chances of you actually being able to take on something like that?"

Team Science - Ship

With one yell of her own, Ryuko gave one well powered swipe at the Statue of Killberty with her scissor. She took a deep sigh and turned, right when the ankle of the robot exploded. In the blink of an eye, she used the scissor to shield herself and Senketsu from the blast. After the explosion subsided, Ryuko shook the stray pieces of shrapnel off of her person, and then promptly ducked when she saw that the robot was trying to kick them off the platform whist trying to regain its balance. Ryuko breathed heavily as Senketsu took this time to transform back.

"Why... did you transform back?" Ryuko said to Senketsu while he closed his eye.    You look like you're in no position to continue. Besides, that guy has it now, if his laughing is any indication...    he replied while opening his eye and looking at Sam. Ryuko looked at Sam as he moved to destroy the remains of the robot while laughing like a madman. She looked at him uncomfortably. "Yyyyyyeah you're right Senket-" she said over to him before she heard Satsuki call out her name. Seeing the Celestial rush to her aid, she also heard her call for help... from her specifically. She and Senketsu looked at each other confused and then turned to Satsuki and the Celestial, with something squishing and squeezing on the former's face. Ryuko quivered, then covered her mouth to try to suppress the widening, widening smile coming off her face. Chuckles came surfacing from her mouth and then those chuckles turned into a full blown laughing fit, with Ryuko lying on her back and laughing uncontrollably.

"You are going to what?!"

Before Toph could fully voice her complaints, the Pain Engine picked her up, taking her towards the machine. The idea of having her sight restored coupled with the fact she had just lost her connection to the ground not only scared her, but made her go into full-on rage mode. Gritting her teeth, she clenched her fists and started kicking and punching the air, sending chunks of rock flying out of the ground and into the walls, pillars being erected from the ceiling, and walls expanding and shrinking- always making sure to not hurl them towards places where she had felt heartbeats before being lifted off the ground.

"LET. GO. OF. ME!" She yelled, holding out her two hands as the earth under her covered her body from her waist down, pulling her away from the machine. "You're not going to restore my sight, you got it?! STAY AWAY FROM ME!" She yelled even louder, sharp spears appearing under the Pain Machine.

Donatello remained on the ground, hugging his knees as he shook from one side to the other. "D-do you guys have s-some sort of c-c-communications array?" He asked, standing up, trembling, his bo on the ground. He started to nervously twiddle his fingers as he awaited for an answer, his eyes darting from one side to the other, but always avoiding Gavrill.

Jack immediately noticed Donatello slowly getting from what looked like a fetal position and looking rather traumatized. The Chaser was kind of expecting the ninja turtle to be made of sterner stuff, not being phased by Gavrill's argument that badly. He went over to the turtle and firmly placed his hand on Donnie's shoulder.

"Donnie," he said. "Donnie. Focus. Calm down."
