Some actual game footage.
More like Professor Layton mixed with Rhythm Heaven, with a dash of Michael Jackson?
I've never played rhythm heaven so I wouldn't know.
I think this game along with Professor Layton Vs Ace Attorney will be among my first purchases for the 3DS
Found a completed segment of that dance mini game

ENGLISH trailer:
... I'm really turned off by the voice acting here.
Don't mind me. I'm just a creepy little lurker.Sounds like a "Standard Anime Dub" voice actor to me.
Apocalypse: Dirge Of Swans. If the game is called Rhythm Thief, it better have some sort of Shout-Out to this:
I'm not fond of the main character's voice. Is it possible for him to not whisper?
The only voice I thought was a bit dull was the girl's . The thief's just whispering, perhaps because he was, in the beginning, discussing a plan to rob a museum.
I have a message from another time...I have never played those games and I still think that is awesome.
EDIT: Here is a complete playthrough of the first stage:

Sorry for double post but new trailer.
This game looks so cool. I think my sister will appreciate it, anyway, since she loves both Rhythm Heaven and Professor Layton.
"Proto-Indo-European makes the damnedest words related. It's great. It's the Kevin Bacon of etymology." ~MadrugadaSome New footage plus those 2 snippets from earlier
1up checks out the Japanese demo of Rhythm Thief.
This looks more and more intriguing.
Would it be a stretch to say this is the closest thing to Elite Beat Agents we've seen since, well, EBA?
Support Gravitaz on Kickstarter!Looks more like Rhythm Heaven then Elite Beat Agents. Which is fine, really.
I'm just not sure if this game can land the title of Crazy Awesome that either of those other games earned. Maybe I'm just jaded, but everything we saw in those trailers looks so tame/normal/not particularly crazy compared to pretty much everything we saw in EBA.
I don't care how wacky it is, I'd just like to see more EBA-style gameplay.
Support Gravitaz on Kickstarter!I think that actually goes to DJMAX Techinika, which is going to have a Vita release.
Anyway, I might get it depending on the soundtrack. Seems interesting so far. (Except for the dub, of course.)
Someone's loaded the sound track onto youtube
Here's the bgm for that dancing mini game at the start.
Sorry for double post but want to show some nw gameplay
Some subbed trailers have popped up for those still interested
This game I just found out about and I am already hooked.
It seems to be a mix of Professor Layton mixed with Elite Beat Agents.
That's no bad thing.
Coming to america in 2012 for the 3DS.
