Bass didn't debut until DOA 2.
...The series only has approximately 20 characters. Shouldn't they all be able to make it in?
Actually, Bass along with Ayane (as a playable character) debuted in the Updated Re-release of DOA 1 for the PS 1.
Don't ask what's wrong with me, because I don't know either.I knew about Ayane but not Bass, ah. Still, that doesn't make him one of the original cast considering he wasn't in the original game.
By that logic, neither is Ayane. She was the training dummy in the Saturn home port and not in the original game.
Don't ask what's wrong with me, because I don't know either.Okay? Yeah she's not, whoever said she was?
It's just that I've never heard something like that before.
It's like saying that Cammy, Dee Jay, Fei-long, and T.Hawk didn't really debut in SFII because it wasn't the original version of SFII.
Don't ask what's wrong with me, because I don't know either.Didn't see Jann's stomp on his combos, that's incredibly sad.
Anyway these are simple combos, Team Ninja should've shown some advanced ones to keep people hyped.
Swimsuit pics released! (Facebook link) All I can say is... wow. Especially Hitomi.
Alternate link for those who don't want to use Facebook, this one also has super-high-resolution versions of the pics, so a word of caution for those with slow bandwidth/computers.

Guess they're trying to outdo TTT2's Big Bikini Bundle.
Well, I can say that these swimsuits are at least 100 times less shameless then the one's from Extreme Beach Volleyball.
Don't Stop Me Now...Oh, that's for sure.
That will be kinda hard in the "equality" criteria, Harada had the balls to give the simpy wear for the men too, Hayashi on the other might not try to step on this direction.
Well, from the looks of this trailer, that leaked character list was 99% correct except for Pai-Chan, for now at least.
Why do people keep complaining about the English voices? Helena and Zack's didn't seem that bad.
The ninjas' acting was a little flat though...

I'm not one of those, I find Helena's accent really sexy and Zack's sassy attitude to be really fitting.
Apparently all english voices from Dimensions made a comeback, that's good, I like consitency.
I don't know if there was any confirmation previous to this, but I'm glad that Gen Fu is back.
Did Helena always have such a strong French accent? She is French after all, but that sounds a bit… exagerated. I don't sound like that when I speak English. I think.
Anyway, I like how they seem to flesh out story mode. Just hope they will do it a bit less… awkwardly than with NG3 (which had a decent plot, but bad writing). But considering it's a fighting game, I don't have much hope on that.
More combos
It already struck me in DOA 3 but Ryu screams an awful lot for a Ninja, doesn't he…?

He is not really trying to be stealthy in a One-on-One fight, why hold back the screams.
and yes, Helena had a thick french accent in Dimensions too, same VA actually.
Ryu's "HOOOOAAAAHHH" is the stuff of legend.
Also... that was Helena's Dimension VA? How do you conclude?
Speaking of voices, you do know that Gen-Fu's Japanese VA had passed away? Wonder who they'll get for replacement.
For how astoundly similar it sounds, it just can't be another VA unless the replacement has an incredible voice range to sound exactly the same as her predescessor.
Eh, Gen Fu had a replacement since Dimensions, Chikao Otsuka was his voice in it.
Not really; in fact, I think Jann Lee may be a deeper character than Bass. Far as legacy relevance goes, I think they're both safe since they're part of the "OG" DOA cast.
