In regards to 5's English dub, unions notwithstanding, why couldn't they make Wendee Lee do double-duty as both Lisa/La Mariposa and Ayane?

Speaking of voice actors, do you think Kate Higgins does Tina's character justice?

She does a pretty good job imo. I've definitely heard worse southern accents.

Apparently Itagaki says that DOA 5 and its expansions sucks ass and wants to do something for his 'daughters' again to rectify. The news should be somewhere in Anime News Network.

Wow, this guy sure likes to strike drama.

I wonder how he's going to do said rectifying, given that Tecmo owns the IP to the series, and I doubt they would work with him again after the humiliation he must've caused them with his publicized resignation a few years ago.

Speaking of which, is it true that Tecmo stiffed him on bonus pay for previous works, among other stated reasons for leaving Tecmo? When I first read a few months ago of how he seperate from Tecmo in 2008, I was immediately sympathetic, but now that I've read more about him on this site, I'm beginning to wonder if my sympathy is misplaced.

Itagaki just being a straight up hater now lol. DOA 5 Ultimate is one of the best in the franchise although admittedly I don't like the critical thingy too much.

Maybe he is just bitter they added a girl that doesn't have Boobs above a C cup?

Itagaki has a huge ego. It's well known how much he's dissed on Tekken, and he even dissed on Devil May Cry in comparison to Ninja Gaiden. I'm not surprised in the least by his behavior, and I'm kind of glad he's not working on the games anymore, even if he did create them.

Though maybe the Ninja Theory DMC makes Itagaki's statement on them look more valid. But definitely not the classic DMC.

Ninja Theory's game is called DmC, not DMC. The latter is strictly reserved for the classic and definitely-superior series that it's an abject mockery of, no matter what Ninja Theory or Capcom says.

Itagaki lost all rights to his "daughter" after Do A 4 (easily the worst one to play). Also, if he had wanted a say in the series, he shouldn't have left Team Ninja.

While I will say that the new TN did screw up Ninja Gaiden 3 really badly, Do A 5 is probably the best the series has played ever; I'd actually put it on par with Do A 3 for certain.

DOA 2 Ultimate was my favorite before DOA 5 U. I haven't played it in a while though.

Ninja Gaiden Black I consider better gameplay and level design wise over any of the DM Cs but DMC is far from garbage(except 2).

Speaking of DOA2, Dead or Alive 2: Hardcore is coming to PSN as a PS2 Classic. While Ultimate is the better version, Hardcore was the very first DOA I ever played, and is still one of my favorite fighters ever.

YES! YES, YES, YES! Finally, they released a PS 3-compatible version of a classic DOA game! (BTW, it's my first experience of the franchise, too.)

Do A 2 hardcore was the first Do A game I played

Its why i like the series so much -I thought it was cause of Kasumi, Shut up you!-

Me and my friend had this awesome knockdown all out brawl with Ein vs Ryu in it.

So I watched a couple of playthroughs (one was Game Grumps, the other was GameSocietyFilms) of DOA Xtreme 2.

The game is pretty much softcore porn, but... I didn't find it erotic at all. I was actually laughing. Those Jiggle Physics are the most ridiculous I've ever seen - it's like each boob is equipped with a gyro. I would consider the game less like erotic porn and more like Riff Trax material.

Yeah, DOA Xtreme 2 hasn't aged well in the slightest. The first Xtreme, on the other hand, is much better IMO simply because it doesn't overdo the sexiness, and is actually a fun volleyball game.

Yeesh, does Tecmo always blatantly point out the fanservice-iness of their Ms. Fanservice characters in their official articles like this?

She doesn't look plump to me. I think it was supposed to be translated as voluptuous.

That said, hype for this character is ruined.

I mean we already got Cyborg demon Raidou so having a more down to earth choice kinda makes sense.
