I really like Phlebotinum Marches On.
That sounds like it's talking about the Phlebotinum getting better over time, not simply following trends.
...if you don’t love you’re dead, and if you do, they’ll kill you for it.Hot Topic Phlebotinum or Phlebotinum Of The Day work fine for me.

I still dislike anything that implies it's about a Phlebotinum Of The Week.
Phlebotinum Update? Honestly, I think History Of Phlebotinum is the best name, provided the page doesn't actually belong on Analysis.Applied Phlebotinum or something.
Fight smart, not fair.I like Hot Topic Phlebotinum. That really seems to capture the idea.
Speaking words of fandom: let it squee, let it squee.Hot Topic Phlebotinum sounds good. Would also like Phlebotinum Of The Year or Automatic Phlebotinum Update.
I laugh in the face of suffering.Ooh! I *like* Madrugada's suggestion of The Latest Trend In Phlebotinum, and second it. One tiny suggestion, though: make it "The Latest Trends In Phlebotium", with "trend" pluralized, since that's how I've always heard the phrase (assuming that she's basing it on "The latest trends in fashion").

Avatar art by Lorna-Ka.I'm cool with that one.
Fight smart, not fair. That one is my fav.
Sparkling and glittering! Jan-Ken-Pon!I'm ok with The Latest Trend In Phlebotinum, but it sounds a little too much like it's referring to an in-universe trend, so I still prefer Hot Topic Phlebotinum (but not enough to fight for it, if that's what it would take).
Speaking words of fandom: let it squee, let it squee. But we're all cool with keeping "phlebotinum" in there?
I mean it's fine if you're a member of this site and know what it means. But otherwise, it looks like a funny gibberish word. The Latest Trends In Phlebotinem —> "The latest BS trends." Hot Topic Phlebotinem —> "Nonsense that people discuss."
Phlebotinem does look sciencey though. I suppose you might interpret it as junk science if you know no better, and that's quite close to the actual definition.
More because, admittedly, I personally can't really think of any existing English term that concisely describes "amazing sciencey thingy that does cool sciencey stuff".

Apparently I am adorable, but my GF is my #1 Groupie. (Avatar by Dreki-K)I have to admit, when I started out I hated the word Phlebotinum, I much preferred Handwavium.
Fight smart, not fair.ditto, but I think consistency is a good thing. If we're going to get rid of the term, we should get rid of it good and hard. In the meantime, I think using six different words for the same concept is an even worse option. Though I always liked "Nonsensolium" myself.
Speaking words of fandom: let it squee, let it squee. If we're going to purge "Phlebotinum" from trope names, it'd probably be better to start from Applied Phlebotinum and work our way down. Anyway, when I read the trope, the idea I get in my mind is Phlebotinum Through The Ages.
I'm bad, and that's good. I will never be good, and that's not bad. There's no one I'd rather be than me.I'd grandfather Phlebotinium in.
The words above are to be read as if they are narrated by Morgan Freeman. We're not going to purge phlebotinum.
Goal: Clear, Concise and WittyAmbivilant about renaming but tossing Phelebotinum Flavor Of The Month on the suggestion pile.
Eh, I'm not really willing to get behind renaming this. It doesn't seem like there's anything wrong with the current title. "Du jour" is hardly an obscure term. We should be alright with redirects. This needs Wiki Magic, not a new name.
Rhymes with "Protracted."The problem with "du jour" isn't so much that it's obscure as that it sounds more like Phlebotinum Of The Week then what this actually is.
We really should put up a crowner, though.

And Phlebotinum Of The Week would be the first two seasons of Star Trek TNG were every week there was some space anomaly of the week solved via a different Phlebotinum every week.
Sparkling and glittering! Jan-Ken-Pon!What we need is a title that makes it clear that we're talking about phlebotinum that's popular in real life during certain periods, not a work having different phlebotinum popular at different times in-universe.
That said, I have no idea how to do that.
Really from Jupiter, but not an alien.
Crown Description:
Vote up for yes, down for no.
Since it's about phlebotinum having trends of popularity, how about The Latest Trend In Phlebotinum?
...if you don’t love you’re dead, and if you do, they’ll kill you for it.
