Good points. And as for the armpit, er... I didn't think that before, but now I can't unsee it. Curse you.
"If it ain't broke, don't fix it. And even if it is broke, just ignore it and maybe it'll be sort of OK — like the environment."I know this isn't the place for it, but I'm thinking I'm gonna make the Othello image the one for Green-Eyed Monster soon.
The sad, REAL American dichotomyBump. I still want to recommend Deboss's picture #2. The one with minimal gorilla ass.
And once we're done here, I'll start a thread for the Green-Eyed Monster page, as mentioned above.
The sad, REAL American dichotomyI'm good with Deboss' pic as well, but I have to admit, when I saw the thread title this morning, what came to mind is a crop of The Last Supper with an arrow pointing to Judas.
I like the pic that's currently on Green-Eyed Monster, but I'd be interested to see how a thread for that goes.
I never thought of Sophia Loren's look at Jayne's Mansfield's cleavage◊ as conveying jealously. More like disapproval. It is a classic photograph, but is not (not clearly, anyway) Green-Eyed Monster. Different topic, but: I think the Othello image is better for that page. Besides being obviously jealous, Iago is the Trope Namer. Score.

Becky: Who are you? The Mysterious Stranger: An angel. Huck: What's your name? The Mysterious Stranger: Satan. Can we act on putting Deboss' picture? I'll start a Green-Eyed Monster thread once this is done and moved to the morgue.

The sad, REAL American dichotomyI like the one on the left the most, with four humans from the waist (or so) up; the shifty guy is obvious without his legs' posture. All good though.
Becky: Who are you? The Mysterious Stranger: An angel. Huck: What's your name? The Mysterious Stranger: Satan. That or the full body shot would work for me...I think I like the full body shot better.
Could we get a crowner so we can vote on which of the three to choose?
The sad, REAL American dichotomyI think that should wait for the TRS thread to be resolved. Obvious Judas might (probably will?) be cut.
Becky: Who are you? The Mysterious Stranger: An angel. Huck: What's your name? The Mysterious Stranger: Satan.Oh. I didn't know that.
The sad, REAL American dichotomyUgh each letter of Iago in the first quote on Green-Eyed Monster links to a different article. Talk about a sinkhole.
Becky: Who are you? The Mysterious Stranger: An angel. Huck: What's your name? The Mysterious Stranger: Satan.There. Cast into oblivion.
The words above are to be read as if they are narrated by Morgan Freeman.I was looking at the TRS page for this one, and it looks like it'll be kept. Crowner?
Could we please get that crowner here?
The sad, REAL American dichotomyBlank crowner's hooked.
All three added separately.
Fight smart, not fair.I added all the other options posed by the thread I could find.
The sad, REAL American dichotomyThis one's separated enough to call. The new pic is up, potholed, and tagged. Caption or no?
Also, should we start a thread to switch out the pic on Green-Eyed Monster for the Iago pic?

Crown Description:
Obvious Judas
Thirded. I think we're good with one of the gorilla ass pictures.
Iago looks comically jealous. Look at the white cloth on his right armpit. It almost looks like he's giving Othello and Desdemona the finger.
To be honest, I think the Iago picture would go great as the picture for Green-Eyed Monster instead, especilly as Othello is the trope namer of that, and Mr. Kenneth Branagh looks so simultaneously pissed and pouty. And the current image for that fits more for A-Cup Angst or Buxom Is Better.
But here is a resized version of the Othello pic, you guys can decide if it belongs here or there:this hottip is just the right aligned version so I can copy it easier into a page
