[up]If this team always dies, shouldn't it be Red Shirt Amazons? (Which isn't such a bad name.)

There is now a page action crowner for this trope here. Feel free to add options as you see fit.

I think that even if The Shrike Team is renamed it could still be reworked a bit too. I was not sure if that should have been its own option on the crowner though. If you think it should be, feel free to add it.

Yeah, I'm not too clear on why these characters would be related to Mauve Shirt.

They're not red shirts, they have names

By the way, is there any particular evidence that this only happens with all female groups rather than it happening to groups of either or mixed genders? If people are only listing the female groups then it's not a trope as described.

Post 23: In theory, that makes sense, but judging from the page and the related pages, it hardly ever happens anyway. I maintain that, under its current definition, this is Too Rare To Trope.

Consensus is seems to be to cut. Cutlisting.

Yeah, that seems like something that is objectively disproven. Plus the crowner is not close enough for consensus.

I'm on the internet. My arguments are invalid.

2:67 is good enough for consensus. The issue is that only 11 people voted - but it has been running for two weeks.

As far as being Too Rare To Trope, most of the examples are pretty dubious, and most of the wicks are for the trope names. There's only about a half-dozen actual examples, which I would argue makes it Too Rare To Trope.

No, it's not enough when the other option is at 2:50. It has to be a landslide to be consensus.

Plus those people obviously either didn't check the examples or look up what Too Rare To Trope actually means.

I'm on the internet. My arguments are invalid.

It's been cut; should we lock this or should somebody launch a YKTTW for "An Amazon Brigade destined to end up in the fridge"?

Well since it had examples, that means it's a trope. We should just put a better worded and better nameed trope on ykttw.

Go ahead and make a better version in YKTTW. I'll lock this thread up.
