Just Some Soldiers attacking a village: Outside Context Villain

I'm not really confused about the details so much as to how it's an example - the Joker might be Batman's archenemy, but he's not at all "outside context" for Supes.

As I said on Holmes vs. the Daleks, I'd rather not have a faked image when we've had several real ones offered. The fact that I'm horribly sick of pony pimpage is only the icing on the cake.

@ 31, the first is actually from the Webcomic.Cowboys Vs Aliens.

I rather like the dinosaurs vs. the aliens. There is some ambiguity regarding which is the "villain", but I think that it should be reasonable to interpret the image with the aliens as villains given the trope page.
