Stan Lee Cameo'd and Wil Wheaton and Felicia Day are now recurring characters, How the heck am I the only geek on this website watching this show when I'm not the one that worships Wil and Felicia?

Felicia's character is damned adorable, I have to say.

I couldn't stop laughing at Stan Lee's cameo. Researching the effects of gamma radiation was great.

I am a fan since season 1, so you are not alone. BTW, season 5 will be the last one.

What? No! How can end like this? I barely just find this show and now it's going to go? Dangit.... Oh well, better enjoy it while it's still here.

... Should be pointed out that the 5th season is next season: The Christmas episode this year, and the 12 episodes in 2012...

So while, yes, it's cancelled... It's not ending with the present arc, and they should be able to end the series "properly."

I read somewhere that the cancellation was a surprise, and that they got one extra episode authorized to try and wrap up the various plot-threads.

As is common practice for Sy Fy, they announced the cancellation while they were almost done filming the season*

. I heard the thing about the extra episode too, so at least they're treating it better than some of the previous shows.

Though give the way they've aired Eureka in half seasons we might still have 2 more years of it on our TV.

I still miss Stark, and I'm getting tired of the Carter/Allison and Jo/Zane drama...so, so, repetitive! But Eureka's still awesome. I love Fargo.

He's like fire and ice and rage. He's ancient and forever. He burns at the centre of time. Rory punched him in the face.

Hells yeah he was, wanted to go to Titan to research Gamma radiation. Fargo was making angry, you wouldn't like him when he's angry.

Hmm, must of missed that ep. Still trying to figure out how Faro landed that redhead. Still bummed that he didn't hit that when he had the chance.

I never really got into Eureka, but I'm thinking that is sounds like a habit to form. I only saw the first episode and I wasn't too impressed but it sounds like it got a lot better than i remember it. Does anyone know what channel it is on on dish tv?

I only recently got around to watching season 4.

Not talking about whether I like the alternate timeline stuff or not, I'm very interested in finding out the writers' reasoning behind it. Basically, they changed the characters' dynamics and introduced a new threat (the motivation for which was utterly half-assed, but heck, it's Eureka, one shouldn't take it too seriously).

So... just for fun, really? Is that how the teams behind those series function? I always assumed that there were big company-policy intricacies involved in stuff like that, or that they work on some kinds of dramatic formulae. So, do you think there was a big discussion behind that decision, or was it just like "hey whatever, this sounds like fun, let's do it"?

I'm really liking what they writers are doing with the virtual Eureka. My main hope, right now, is that they didn't kill off Holly, but, rather, just disconnected her. She's an interesting character, and it would be a shame for them to drop her after she was a part of the show for so little time.

[up]I think Holly was Killed Off for Real.

That doesn't mean she won't show up in virtual land(she's dating Fargo... And it'd be a weird oversight if Fargo never sees her again), but I think her disconnection from the system killed her off...

Yep, she's Killed Off for Real.

On another note, I got immense satisfaction from the ending of the latest episode.

I liked the latest episode... I felt like it dealt with the issues stemming from the Alternate!Eureka quite well, and left me with a nice warm and fuzzy feeling with the interaction between Fargo and Parrish at the end.

So you've only got 10 episodes for your final season and you've got an entire episode that amounts to filler? This season is turning out to be rather disappointing.

[up]I don't think they were told that it would be the final season until after they had finished filming it.

Exactly, they got en extra episode to wrap the series up and thats it, so prepare for a rushed finale. By the way, I think it was not all filler. The zeta wave thing looks like it could be the setup of something.
