Her final smash would be Umbran Climax if you wanted to go with a simple one: a super mode similar to Giga Bowser, except that all of her basic (A) attacks become wicked weaves and get proportionately huge hitboxes and power boosts
It would be no different from the Spin Attack in that regard (although it'd last notably longer). You could choose to not do the full thing and come out of it nigh instantly (maybe with the invulnerability frames one normally has when getting up).
Personally, I think a big hit Final Smash like her using a summon would work a lot better with my moveset. All of her Smashes are already Wicked Weaves, making her Tilts into Wicked Weaves would make them really similar to her Smashes, and her Aerials might not benefit from it either. And none of her Specials would be affected by it since all but one is a transformation and that one would be OP as fuck if it got a Wicked Weave.

Let the joy of love give you an answer! Check out my book! How about a Stance System with her different weapons? Such as being able to change between mid-range guns, short-range swords, and slow and powerful hammer/scythe. Or maybe have the guns be the default, and letting her use other weapon sets for a few seconds a la Monado Arts.
"Yeah, it's a shame. Here we are in an underground cave with all these lasers, and instead of having a rave we're using it for evil."There's no way they'd let her have her traditional guns in the first place. One of the biggest problems Nintendo had with Snake in Smash was Snake's usage of realistic guns. The only way they would let Snake in would be if he only used his more explosive weapons, such as grenades. Even if Bayo somehow made it into Smash, her signature weapons would not make it through the transition.
Lampshade Hanging: It's a lifestyle. They are pretty heavily stylized pieces of hardware, though. And I'd say they have points in their favor by the fact that she uses a pair in her friggin' heels.
"Yeah, it's a shame. Here we are in an underground cave with all these lasers, and instead of having a rave we're using it for evil."And even if not, she has so many weapon types.
I have a message from another time...There's going to be a Bayonetta 3.

Not that surprising, but still sweet!

"Yeah, it's a shame. Here we are in an underground cave with all these lasers, and instead of having a rave we're using it for evil."I wonder if it would be Nintendo exclusive too.
Chances are it's going to be Nintendo exclusive, and I hope it is, I can't shell out the money for another console in the foreseeable future.
I didn't see confirmation for a sequel as much as I saw hope for one. I'm not holding my breath until anything official is announced.
I don't know why he mentioned a spin-off. That's a little ballsy.
Akira Toriyama (April 5 1955 - March 1, 2024).With Sega more or less bailing on consoles, it really comes down to who's willing to foot the bill just like last time. I'd say Nintendo is a prime candidate if they were satisfied with out Bayonetta 2 sold.
Yeah, this is just him saying he'd like to make a Bayonetta sequel.
In response to a question that was straight-up "what series would you most like to make a sequel for, if you could?"
This is far from confirmation of anything.
I have a message from another time...In Platinum's case, it's all about finding the funding to do... anything. Realistically, they do what publishers tell them, as there are few independent studios who have the latitude to do what they want (really big names like Bungie or folks in special situations like FROM Software). Once Platinum's initial deal with Sega ran dry, they've done or are doing three original games that we know of (Bayo 2, Wonderful 101, and Scalebound for Microsoft), and two "licensed" games of a fashion: Metal Gear Rising and the Korra game. Given how much any of these games have sold, it's honestly lucky that they got Nintendo and Microsoft to agree to let them make more original games.
I dunno, I could see Nintendo funding Bayo 3. It's a bit of a niche game but I think it sells well for one of those.
Let the joy of love give you an answer! Check out my book!Platinum also thinks Nintendo is super bro and loved working on Bayonetta 2 because Nintendo gave them a lot of help and complete creative freedom.
There's an article before Bayo 2 came out where the director says that Bayo 3 could happen as nintendo exclusive:
http://www.ign.com/articles/2014/06/26/bayonetta-3-could-happen-as-nintendo-exclusive-says-dev
That's one thing I found interesting about Nintendo: Third parties are so hesitant to work with them and yet those that do give them nothing but praise.
Let the joy of love give you an answer! Check out my book!well in the last generation there were a couple of things holding the wii back from getting ample third party support:
- despite the wii's massive sales numbers, third party games didn't sell that well, especially M-rated titles like No More Heroes and Madworld (NMH did sell well enough to fund a sequel though i guess).
- the wii had very modest hardware, and was only slightly more powerful than the gamecube, to the point where the Dolphin emulator can emulate both. this kind of constrained the artistic vision of a lot of developers, who would rather make games on more modern hardware.
I don't think this is as much of a problem now. Sure the Wii U isn't comparable to the PS 4 and Xbox One in tech but we're starting to see diminishing returns in terms of game scope anyway. a number of wii u games (including bayo 2 apparently) can run near flawlessly at 1080 p and 60fps because of the focus on art direction instead of high polys, which i'm sure tickles some developers' fancies.

The key is that Nintendo very rarely puts forth the effort to partnering with third parties, and it is usually a developer-publisher relationship. Nintendo's problem is that they don't reach out to other publishers, or very rarely do so, and when they do it's only for small deals and not about getting regular third-party support. Now, there's a question of whether this is a good thing for the industry as a whole, but the fact of the matter is that Microsoft and Sony spoiled third parties in that regard, while Nintendo acts as if they still have the leverage they did in the SNES era, and gets treated accordingly.
Not that i feel Nintendo should fix that. At this point, it would require Nintendo abandoning most everything that makes them unique.
B2 is only 720p. Very few Wii U games are 1080, Smash 4 is among them.

Though the darkside of Sony and Microsoft courting Third Parties is you have to deal with bullshit like Exclusive DL Cs, Betas, Time Exclusive Releases, etc.
I have to say that Tanaka singing "Fly Me to the Moon" was pretty hilarious but hearing her shout "GOOD MORNING!" during the ending was even better.
Let the joy of love give you an answer! Check out my book!So some people analysed in detail the way the musics were used in Bayonetta 2.
It's in French, sorry, but the images and sound speak for themselves enough I think. This game may have the most incredible soundtrack that ever blessed a beat 'em all… almost feel like buying a Wii U just for that…
Do get a Wii U and this game. It's worth it.
Though I gotta say, having played through DMC 4 SE, even though I love the Bayo series, there's something about the DMC series that gives it a slight edge over the former. For me, it's due to more creative weapons, memorable characters, and a more catchy soundtrack. That, and I feel that DMC feels a bit more technical.
Then the opponent shields the attack and hits/grabs Bayonetta once it ends. That's why I think it won't work very well, the opponent shield once and Bayonetta can't do a thing.
