Because Japan.
Watch SymphogearI don't understand how it's supposed to be unintentional. As far as I know, Bayonetta only gets naked when she uses powerful attacks, not when she takes damage.
So, OTHER discussions aside, I find Loki less annoying than I thought he'd be.
I'm starting with Bayo 2, but the story is pretty easy to follow so far.
Visit my Tumblr! I may say things. The Bureau ProjectThe climate in gamer gulture is a lot different than it was four years ago. I'm willing to bet that that will pop up whenever Anita does her video on Bayonetta.
After starting the first game I realized, this is one of those sequels, the ones that are so much better than the original and it kinda ruins it for you, it happened to the original DMC, Borderlands and now this.
I'm refusing to touch the second game until I've completed the first one for that reason. Gotta say it might take a while though. I am managing to progress on Normal, but not without getting Bayonetta killed quite a few times in the process.
yeah, what he said.
Just going through the first chapter alone, and the addition of Umbran climax as well as even smoother controls and speedier attacks makes the entire first game, even with the best weapons, seem like a turtle compared to the hare in comparison.
Watch SymphogearWith DMC 3, i'd argue that it's different enough from DMC 1 for the latter to be seen as more of it's own game (And it worked for me as a flashback to the Early 6th Gen when I first got into gaming). Bayonetta 2, I mostly agree. I think the only thing that i'd find refreshing in Bayo 1 is how the enemies are a bit less damage sponge-y than in 2, and the better escalation and Final Boss in a visual sense. Other than that, Bayonetta 2 refines the gameplay so much, and I have nothing but praise for removing stuff like the Alpheims that you needed to be Psychic to find, or Angel Slayer being Witch Trials in 5 separate missions.
A corpse should be left well enough alone...So why is the Lumen Sage not playable in story mode?
Unlike Rodin he actually has beast within powers so it shouldn't be impossible to complete.
I wonder if they'll top themselves if a sequel/spinoff is ever made or if this is going to become the series' standard.
If you play as someone else their model replaces Bayo's in cutscenes, just imagine him doing all the stuff Bayo does and you'll have a possible answer. It would be pretty funny though.

Oh come on, that would've been the greatest!

He would be out shopping for some heels without guns in the prologue
Anyone just enjoy exploring the world? I do. Noatun is a wonderful place to just run around and find secrets in.

Visit my Tumblr! I may say things. The Bureau ProjectI think I just realized how the tagline that shows up in the intros of both games lines up with the series as a whole. "In a world of light and dark, where perception is reality..." They must have been thinking about Aesir during the creation of Bayo 1. Dunno about the alternate that showed up in a Bayo 2 trailer (..."where time reflects infinitely") fits into the universe, though.
Lampshade Hanging: It's a lifestyle.x3 He already wears heels without guns.

Umbran Climax◊Considering Bayo 1 gave us Little Zero, A tiny skeleton with raymanian limbs I'm pretty sure Platinum has no problems with having the cutscenes look ridicilous as hell as a result of a different character.
Imagine Rodin in Bayonetta's place. That's probably why he and Balder got the shaft playability-wise.
EDIT: Oops. Spoilers.

Lampshade Hanging: It's a lifestyle.Well there's a Stable Time Loop in place.
Which just makes it more absurd.

Did anyone else think of Raiden when they see Balder with his mask partially cracked over his eye?

Watch SymphogearThanks, I am now.
Anyway, good thing nobody really heard me squeak when I saw that one of the enemies can turn Bayonetta into my huggable little Cereza. Granted, said enemy proceeded to eat her immediately afterwards, but I still found it adorable.
- Made it all the way to the last verse of the Witch Trials IV.
- Was fighting the final boss with no health.
- Parrying and dodging like a boss.
- One more combo could finish him.
- Mess up one parry.
- RAGE!
Finished Bayo 2's story today.
So good.
I do kind of miss the gigantic bosses from Bayo 1, though. This time 'round, it's only really Gomorrah, Phantasmaranea, and the flashback virtues that are like Bayo 1's bosses.
And don't get me wrong, I love me some Mirror Bosses, but those work best as a contrast to other bosses. I feel there's no reason why Aluraune couldn't have been huge, for example.
But that's a minor nitpick in an otherwise wonderful game. I love love love the weapons, and everything about Tag Climax.
I have a message from another time...Did you forget Glamor and Valor?
Also, none of the human sized bosses in this game are mirrors.
Edit: Masked Lumen is arguable.

Umbran Climax◊I guess I meant that in a more broad sense of a character around the same size who fights you with similar, if not identical, abilities and rules in play.
And yeah, I suppose I did forget some of the more huge bosses.
I have a message from another time...
What really gets me about that attack is how you can see Bayonetta COVERING HER ANUS WITH HER HAND. As if the rest wasn't bad enough, the devs had to add THAT little detail. Just...WHYYYYYY.
