So we've finally caught up to that version of him. I wonder if the writers always planned for something like this?

I'm guessing this is before Ultimatum then just so they don't have to write around him throwing the Driver into a pool of lava.

Not much to say on it. I don't know much about Zyuohger or Kyuranger, so most of the stuff with them sailed clean over my head.

Nice to see Kitaoka again though. Ryuki doesn't get much representation in the crossovers.

Giving Emu 10 hit points, and not letting him go to level two was some Snk Boss bullshit though...and he still won, so good on him.

Watched a video that was every Rider Henshin and I enjoyed how it went real basic with the suit designs till Shin went full Cronenberg before going back to basic before starting to get weird with Heisei Riders. That said, I think I’m going to start watching Wizard next. I really like his suit. After that, I’ll probably check out Ghost.

Wizard is one of my favourite suits.

Though I think he's currently tied with Faiz, because there's no form of Faiz I dislike.

Found a way to watch toku at work, so I'm going to try and do Hibiki now.

EDIT: ep 1.... Okay, wow, that was different. And kickass as hell, too.

Is there some fan theory as to the reason for each Best match combinations? Because I am getting a bit miffed that there are 4 yellow full bottles and 6 blue full bottles

Haven't really seen anything yet. Beyond organic (well, mostly animal or human profession) and inorganic, there seems to be no logical reason. Judging by hacked driver sounds there could be quite a lot more though.

A theory I read somewhere is that there is a common trait that links the two components of each Best Match. For example, Rabbi Tank's shared trait is mobility ( Rabbits are agile, while tanks were made to support infantry units), and Gorilla Mond's link is Strength (Gorillas are terifyingly strong, and Diamond is the strongest gemstone).

Hawk Gatling: Flying killers. Hawks are apex predators, and gatling guns are sometimes used on aircraft.

Ninnin Comic: Copies. Cloning techniques are commonly used by fictional ninja, and Comics were created for mass production. Another link is that comics helped popularize ninjas in western culture (Even before Naruto was a thing. Think TMNT's Foot clan, or some interpretations of Batman's League of Assassins.)

I think Sento was the initial target and Katauragi was murdered by Faust while kidnapping Sento.

Started watching Ex-Aid today. Only on the fourth episode and enjoying it. I’m really liking the Lv 1 form a lot more than I thought I would.

But if that's the case, why frame Banjou? Why even send him there? The only explanation is that they were planning to grab both from the get go, but there was little need to frame Banjou for the murder.

I'm still suspicious of reporter girl too. Why isn't she in the opening theme? That's massively telling to me.

I think you might by overthinking it a little, since Reporter Girl not appearing in the OP migh just signify she's not a major player in terms of the overarching plot. Instead, she might just be a side character whose purpose is to help move the character side of the show along instead of beinf pure comic relief like Kagami sr. from Ex-Aid (who did't appear in the OP either).

Alternatively, she could be similar to the information brokers from W (aka the two school "queens" and the dude with the afro). Still pops up frequently, but doesn't have a major impact on the overall plot.

I actually forgot about Kagami, so I suppose you have a point.

We'll have to wait and see.

Hibiki 2: drumming the kaiju to death is... actually kind of cool.

Also binge watched a crapton of OOO; have to say, I think Gotou's style is more effective than Date's, but Satonaka was a horrible choice for his partner.

Well that's because Date was trying to save medals remember. Gotou also bothered to read the instruction book, so even if he lacked the practical experience Date did, he went in with a bit more knowledge of what the Birth suit could do from the start (plus he'd watched Date fight as well).

Oh, I readily acknowledge both of those points. I was just commenting that Gotou's rougher, more overtly violent style seems to work better.

Anyone else see the leaks of new Riders?

Yeah. Claws Charge and Grease both look cool and I like the jelly idea but the driver and especially the weapon look kinda silly. Rogue is presumably Night Rogue who's become a Rider for some reason but I do like the design. Super/hazard best matches seem kinda pointless. I also now suspect they'll be some bottles we never see used, as the catalog has a whole bunch.
