I'd say Kuroto was being sincere when he said, way back then, that something went wrong during the development of the games and the Bugsters went out of control - probably Poppy came to be around this time. We just need to know whether Pallad had something to do with this and what happened between that and Emu getting infected, but I'd say Pallad may have influenced Kuroto ever since the beginning.

Hey guys, I'm only here on a trial basis now, I expire in 24 hours! Anyone want to catch me up on a hundred plus pages and over a year and a half of not watching the non Amazons Rider series? I missed Ghost and am watching Ex-Aid. I did catch the Kamen Rider Ichigo movie, and the Ex-Aid Kamen Sentai Goriders miniseries. Which I do have very late and undoubtedly already stated thoughts about.

I was expecting someone to answer your question, since I didn't really watch Ghost because I didn't quite like the first episode, thought it was too childish and, from what I could get from other people here, it didn't get much better afterwards, in spite of how cool the transformations and everything seemed to me. So here comes Ex-Aid with a pretty 90's outlandish design and... a surprisingly interesting story in the long run. So here I am, I guess.

Also, Amazons 17: it's good to see the Pest Control folks back in action! But I think they're making Haruka and his friends look so much Anti-Villain that I can't help but think this is a big Red Herring. Also, Iyu's dad was Jin's teacher, so here we go.

Skip Ghost. It is pretty much the definition of mediocre, along with Wizard. Heck, it repeats nearly every single flaw of Wizard that it's beyond frustrating.

Ex-Aid on the other hand, talk about a pleasant surprise. It going for a Faiz/Gaim approach to its tone and narrative is a huge improvement, and if it keeps up, may dethrone OOO as my fifth favorite KR series. waii

Heh. The best thing about Wizard is his suit and powers for me.

It's not really everyone's cup of tea, so it's kinda ok to skip it.

Probably the best thing about it is the twist with one villain, and maybe Phoenix's death, but I've seen some debate on that.

[up][up] It looks like you're being gentle with Ghost. At least Wizard's first episodes were kinda cool. [lol]

I'm trying to watch Wizard out of a desire to eventually watch everything and I keep getting sidetracked by other things.

Ghost... there were some parts I liked but I agree it's pretty mediocre.

Don't skip Ghost. Even with its flaws it's still better than Gaim and Drive.

Watch Ghost, it's still a solid show with some great suits, interesting fight choreography(especially the final form), a great supporting cast, and an overall decent story. Ghost doesn't do anything super spectacular but it also doesn't really to that much wrong so it's worth your time.

Gaim is magnificent. It'll be the second KR show I ever re-watch. After Decade.

Both of which will be after I finish the second half of OOO, Kuuga, Dragon Knight, Ryuki, Faiz, Blade, Den-O, Kiva, and Hibiki.

................it WILL happen, damn it!

I already knew how you felt about Wizard, I was here for that reaction. I stopped watching at the introduction of Beasts upgrade, because I got bored. That's been happening alot lately though. Which is why I've mostly been watching movies, Net-videos like Kamen Sentai Gorider and things. The Rider formula isn't the issue, I understand what to expect, however it's always been the execution of that formula that interested me, and lately with Drive and Ghost both, the execution they used hasn't been winning me over. Amazons is fun, but it's also very short. It goes by very quickly. Ex-aid seems to be following an overall Gaim-ish setup in how it deals with long running plot threads instead of what's been going on the past few years.

Ex-Aid's nature as a Medical Drama allows a format where you can do small arcs for each Bugster patient but, at the same time, set up a general plot that advances at least a bit with each episode. That means they decided to go through the hard route and make both short stories and a plot-driven story all in one.

Ex-Aid is actually way better than I thought it was going to be. The first few episodes had me convinced it was just Ghost again. Its better than that.

My opinion on Ghost, though, is that it was OK. Not really bad, but with little to wow otherwise. It had moments, but they were infrequent.

Yeah. I've been enjoying Ex Aid more than I expected to.

If you enjoyed Gaim, it feels similar (a stupid seeming idea that turned out to be really well executed).

If you didn't enjoy Gaim, I'd like to think it's still pretty cool all in all.

Nyaa is probably dead for good, there's been a clusterfuck involving new Swede court rulings about what's illegal and what isn't. The groups subbing KR are switching to Anidex.

[up][up] Thanks for the tip!

Well, Ex-Aid 30... I was imagining that there should be a way to bring back to life those who got a Game Over, so I should've expected that Dan would pull a Desty Nova and have a "backup-self" stored somewhere. Also, nice to see that Poppy has found her Driver in the river and can Tokimeki Crisis again :3

Anyway, perhaps this opens up the possibility of Kiriya getting back and Dan maybe becoming Chronos, although this last one feels a bit more improbable now...

In regards to Ex-Aid's latest episode...

Genm is back!? I really did not see that one coming

Also something that I should have commented on earlier

Since Genm really likes to call himself the "Game Master" I kinda now want to see him make a reference to the infamous Captain N The Game Master cartoon, I know the chances of that happening are pretty low but still.

"Death's vastness holds no peace. I come at the end of the long road—neither human, nor devil... All bends to my will." -Demifiend.

I'm actually curious as to how they're going to explore Genm now: thematically speaking, he used to be extremely afraid of death, and now that he's an immortal Bugster (as long as his data can still be retrieved), his Death Is Cheap vision may create some interesting contrasts. Also, we have the Enemy Mine situation and the supportive advantage of suppressing Bugster powers that Genm now has. This is getting more and more interesting to watch :D

Annnnd Amazons 18: as I imagined, Haruka has nothing to do with the new Amazons - it was Mamoru - and will hunt them, but keep protecting the old ones he knew. Also, the lysogenic cells require human cells to be generated, so Jin is getting more and more involved in this mess...

It doesn't look like Jin is featured in next weeks release. Of course I don't know what the Stinger will be and maybe he shows up then but I've been waiting for him this entire time. I've been having doubts that he'd survive this season since I saw Neos and the upgraded form for Omega, and while I knew he isn't really on the side of Angels anymore, I didn't expect him to be the cause of everything that went wrong. God that's some damn cold irony isn't it? He originally became an Amazon to kill the rest of the Amazons, but in the end he's the cause of even more Amazons being created, and out of humans no less, the things he wanted to protect. On top of the Blindness, I don't know if I want to see how Jin reacts to this.

[up] Not sure if that's a spoiler, since it's trailer stuff, but Jin is definitely making an appearance in this season. One of the trailers showed him. And he's gone completely bonkers, or even more than in the end of the first season.

Edit: I found the trailer. Here it is, but it has some stuff that hasn't appeared yet, for those who mind.
