Bump for great justice?
Is it selfish that I'm happy as we pass the setting sun?One more bump for good measure?
Is it selfish that I'm happy as we pass the setting sun?(Ja, I'll play)
Kick *that* side.
^
You manage to swing your leg and collide your foot with the area near the souce of the humming. All it achieved was a hollow THUNK and a sharp pain up your leg. The buzzing persists, but it proves the wall is closer to you than expected. It's still dark.
Is it selfish that I'm happy as we pass the setting sun?Yell "Open up!"
Start stabbing everything in sight.
Go play Kentucky Route Zero. Now.Go insane.
^
As much as you would like to, that would prove ineffective at this time!
^^
You start stabbing the air with the immaginary knife in your hand, but to no avail.
^^^
Your voice doesn't echo as much as you thought it does, as if there are other objects in the room to muffle it. The buzzing stops finally, replaced with an even more annoying click. click. click. click.
Is it selfish that I'm happy as we pass the setting sun?Investigate clicking.
Light a match.
Everything happens for a reason. The reason is a chaotic intersection of chance and the laws of physics.Check inventory.
Sanity? Why would I need a useless thing like that? Now posting as Motor-Runner.^
You check your pockets and feel the outline of something rectangular in your front jean pocket. Pulling it out would be useless, as you can barely see your hand in front of your face. You are still wearing clothes, thank god;.
^^
You check your pockets and fail to find any matches.
^^
The clicking is insistent but seems to be coming from the surface of the wall rather than in it. Coming a little closer, it sounds almost electronic. The clicking persists, until finally, for reasons you can't explain, the lights suddenly turn on.
You found yourself in your room in your apartment. It's a common dirty room, with clothes strewn around the floor with no real strange otherworldly appearance. One side has a door, which leads into your bathroom, while the other leads into a hallway out into the living room. The lights were probably hooked up by a timer, set up by your room mate. The bastard does stuff like that when he's bored. Which would explain the constant clicking.

Enter living room
> Search Room.
You search through the room and come across very little. Your spare apartment key, the remote for the radio you have in your room, an alarm clock that fails to work, regardless of how often you change the batteries, several dirty articles of clothing and a note from your room mate.
"Went out for day. Enjoy time alone.
Randall."
> Check Attributes.
No otherworldly special attributes. Very fast runner and very keen eyesight, if that's anything to go through.
> Enter Living Room.
You enter your living room, which is surprisingly quiet despite Randall keeping your stuff on most of the time. Simple enough room, a 3 person couch in front of a 36' TV, a PS 3 and Wii off to either side of it. The window is open to show the outside world. Clear, sunny outside, not a cloud in the sky and a few birds pass by. On side of the room is the entrance kitchen, lights also turned off. You can't put your finger on it but something feels off.
Is it selfish that I'm happy as we pass the setting sun?Turn on kitchen lights, then look around.
Stuff happens. Post it here so we can laugh at you >=D
Having just gone through a binge archiving of Ruby Quest and Midway through Nan Quest, I am inspired to have a CYOA with my fellow friends and Tropers! Plot? We'll work on that. Characters? As they come along. The plot and everything involving such will come from your choices, much like Ruby Quest! Hopefully we'll get something epic going! My only regret...is no pictures. Curse my lack of artistic skills.
Let's get the fun started!
...
You open your eyes. You're surrounded by complete and utter darkness. Outside of a slight humming that seems to come from the side, you can hear nothing.
