It's my intention to keep it hidden as long as humanly possible, anyway. ^^

If I'm sure of something it's that I'm not sure of anything. You'll be waiting until I've slept and woken up, I'm afraid. Three in the morning is not conducive to writing a post, not when one is on one's phone. XD
Avatar SourceAlright. I certainly understand your plight!
See you tomorrow then.
If I'm sure of something it's that I'm not sure of anything.@Daltar: the closet thing to Yuri and / or romance that I've ever written is... hmm... that Romantic Plot Tumor here between A Blue-and-Orange Morality Badass (?) Bookworm and a Yaoi Fangirl.
EDIT: Ya know what? I'll post the signup I was thinking about anyway, and wait a little longer before I decide whether or not to join, presuming that it'll be accepted.
- Name: Ryu Sakura (I hope you don't care about the One-Steve Limit).
- Age: 17.
- Sexuality: this being Yuri, lesbian, but mostly uninterested in sex, verging on Asexual.
- Appearance: Sakura is short and thin, with small breasts. Her skin is light brown, and her hair is rather long; it is dyed green, and she usually wears it in a long braid. Her eyes are green, too. Her nose is small and straight; her lips are red, but thin. Her fingers are long and graceful. She usually wears a black tank top, long blue pants, and a brown longcoat.
- Personality: A type 2 Kuudere with some Insufferable Genius thrown in. In other words, her kuu side is haughty and stoic to the point of being an Emotionless Girl, while here dere side is nice, considering and soft.
- Skills: Sakura is an Omniglot: she fluently speaks English, Japanese, Hebrew, German, Arabic and Latin. She is also a highly competent violin- and harpsichord-player, and a good fencer with the Sabre. She also knows a little Krav Maga.
- Bio: Sakura is the daughter of a Japanese diplomat and an Israeli ex-General Staff Reconnaissance Unit warrior. She lived her first years in Israel, then her parents moved to Japan. At about that time, her talent for music and languages was discovered, and she happily started to study English, German, Arabic, and Latin, and the art of playing the violin and the harpsichord; she already spoke Hebrew and Japanese fluently. A few years passed, and she started fencing with he father. Otherwise, her life was pretty normal, save for the fact that as the time passed and she became better in fencing and playing the violin, she became more and more haughty.
- Note: expect some German, Arabic, Latin and Hebrew in my posts as her.

The voice of thy brother's blood crieth unto me from the groundHmmm I see nothing objectionable.
If you decide to join, know that you'll be welcomed.
Also, romance elements in R Ps around here tend to come up a little sparingly so that's one of the things that greatly interest me about carrying on this one.
If I'm sure of something it's that I'm not sure of anything.Oh, well, I'll join; worse case scenario, I'll drop out.
First post will be up shortly.

The voice of thy brother's blood crieth unto me from the groundHey, I'm new to the TV Tropes forums and just found this signup thread. Is it still open? I'm a veteran forum roleplayer and have written a surprising amount of yuri in my career so far. Not much to say for myself other than that right now, other than I am very interested in joining in if I can. Also, I apparently write 'cute' very well, for whatever it's worth.
Avatar from: http://x0whitelily0x.livejournal.com/5953.html N: 5 F, 0/40 SI think it's still open...
You might want to check which character types we're missing, though. XD
Avatar SourceMaybe you could have a character that goes on adventures.
Adventures, eh? Starting to get some ideas, though we'll see how they pan out once I write up a bio. Should have it up tomorrow!
Avatar from: http://x0whitelily0x.livejournal.com/5953.html N: 5 F, 0/40 SOkay, a bit different than my initial thoughts, but here's my first crack at a character.
•Name: Kanako Shimada
•Age: 18
•Sexuality: Lesbian, but won't necessarily advertise it much.
•Appearance: Taller than average with a small build bordering on willowy, though modestly endowed when it comes to her more feminine physical development. Added to a fair complexion, dark brown eyes and long black hair complete with straight bangs and side bangs, Kanako's the spitting image of a Yamato Nadeshiko. At home she even dresses like one, wearing feminine blouses and skirts, and often yukata and kimonos Outsdie the home she make a great effort to look different, pulling her hair into a rough ponytail, insisting on wearing an outdated ankle length skirt with her uniform and donning fingerless leather gloves. She wears little makeup in the former case, and never in the latter.
•Personality: Usually fairly outgoing and sociable, and often she acts as if she doesn't care about others' opinions of her. She gets confrontational when she senses she's being criticized, and sometimes even makes threats if things get too tense. Yet she also tends to back down from the initial confrontation, making her threats largely hollow. Much of what she does is for the thrill of things, which can come off as impulsive hedonism. Despite her 'I don't care' attitude, she can be incredibly supportive of those few she becomes close to. Kanako can also be self-effacing when praised or trying to make someone feel better; if they can laugh at her, they won't think about their own problems she thinks. At school she likes physical activities including sports, even if she's terrible at most of them.
At home or sometimes on the town she's almost a totally different person. In addition to her more effeminate clothing, she becomes much more reserved and polite. She almost always defers to anyone representing authority or higher social position, assisting them at her own expense. Her tendency to back down from confrontations stems from this. In short, she remains a proper Yamato Nadeshiko in the home while attempting to be totally different and independent outside such settings. Universally, though, she has a strong enough determination to pursue personal goals to ludicrous ends if necessary.
•Skills: Very good at cleaning, cooking and sewing, even though she'll deny it to classmates. Other than that, she has some training in karate from her one time intended fiancee. Notably she enjoys sports even though she has no talent in them, save perhaps riding a bicycle. In addition, she has no musical talent to speak of either and the less said about her singing the better.
•Biography: Kanako was brought up in a very tradition-minded upper middle class family, and was the spitting image of both her mother and older sister. Both of them had been classic Japanese beauties, skilled in domestic abilities and carrying themselves with humility and quiet determination. As the newest project in creating a Yamato Nadeshiko (in order to make the family seem even more classy), Kanako was constantly compared to both women and held to even higher standards. Constantly seeking their approval Kanako fought hard to mold herself into a proper young lady, and slowly became one. Until the marriage arranged by her parents came up, and her fiancee was brought over to visit.
At her private mission school, Kanako had noticed her attraction to her female classmates rather early. It troubled her that she felt so strongly about her best friend, and no one could tell her what was going on. Finally after watching a drama on TV, she decided to kiss her friend.. that's what you did, she thought. This resulted in her being asked to leave the private school just before her fiancee came to visit. Kanako tried hard to like him, but kept finding herself more interested in his sister instead. It would be a little while longer before she accepted that she did in fact like girls instead of boys.
After the kissing incident, Kanako's parents raised enough money to send her to Kansai to attend school. Feeling betrayed at this Kanako began to consciously dress and act in a way counter to the behavior instilled in her since childhood. Her experimentation led to a sort of Yanki look and attitude, though some habits just die hard. Despite her desire to strike out on her own, Kanako doesn't want to be disowned either. This means that at home she still acts as expected, becoming her other personality outside only. Since she lives in her uncle's home (he's away on business), her parents don't know much about how she acts at school. Yet because her uncle is better off and kind enough to allow her to stay in the home, Kanako tries not to 'spoil' the place with her outside personality. It's also a lot of work to be someone different, so reverting to old ways is easier once she's home.

Avatar from: http://x0whitelily0x.livejournal.com/5953.html N: 5 F, 0/40 SHi, long time tv-tropes reader but new to the forums...Is this rp still open for sign-ups, by any chance?
That seems to be the case. You could just show up to school late or have been a random NPC up until now... XD
Avatar SourceYou could be the one that gave Yuki her clothes and then gave up afterwards.
I'm happy to fill in wherever there's need. Uh, not to be super noobish here but where is the actual rp taking place? I'm sorry..
In the role playing forum that is neither signups or discussion—look for 'Clashing Hearts'.
Avatar SourceThanks! I'll start reading and get caught up.
You should also look at the discussion page, too.
will do! Thank you.
If there's still a chance to join, I should probably stop vacillating and sign up.

Hmmm I really like your application Raineh. There's some supernatural in there but it makes me inclined to believe that you can keep it undercover until the moment I decide to introduce the magic.
Hmm why would you call it outside your scope?
