Nice to see how this thread has picked up pace in the recent weeks.
Fear the cinnamon sugar swirl. By the Gods, fear it, Laurence.Let's just hope that autism awareness picks up as well.
It already is becoming more prominent in South Africa, much to my surprise.
I hope I get to love the society of the future. The society of now would assume that I'm incapable of such feeling. -.-
Autie=robot is a stupid mindset.
Ya, I'm weird like that...My thoughts on society have little to do with what they think of my AS, so I probably won't love it then as I don't now.
It's one thing to make a spectacle. It's another to make a difference. There has to be something about this site that's attractive to people on the spectrum, because there are tons of us here. On different threads, not even this one, it seems like half of the people there, if not more, have Asperger's or autism.
I've noticed that myself. I've no idea what it could be. Maybe we just find it easier to communicate on the internet or something?
Have you any dreams you'd like to sell? This site, at least for me, if the perfect synthesis of everything I like. All the tropes are amazing for my extremely vivid imagination, how they've perfectly arranged in a wiki format, and it's amazing for gaining all sorts of fascinating knowledge And I get to talk to people with similar interests, without the nervousness and awkardness that accompanies a real life conversation
I've even managed to meet some really cool people here that I'd never think of meeting before.
Have you any dreams you'd like to sell?yeah these forums attract a ton of aspies. I'm kinda interested in what kind of demographics these specific forums attract.
"I have not failed. I've just found 10,000 ways that won't work." -Thomas EdisonIt also attracts a large number of transgendered and writers.
Actual stats: Troper Demographics
I know of at least twice as many people on this site who are aspies than post here, and I wonder about most of the rest.

This thread is about the only way I can talk with others on the spectrum. It's also the only way I know how we're normally treated by neurotypicals.

Maybe you should also be following the other thread?
I follow that one as well. D'oh! I probably should have said this forum instead of thread.
Huh, the amount of people from adult to middle aged brackets is kind of startling. I know of a few older tropers but I didn't know there was that many. I also didn't know we had some eldery tropers as well (although that number is pretty small)

I'm setgendered, if that's the proper term for it.
Ya, I'm weird like that...These words confuse me. However, your correction is wrong. According to the internet, transgender is singular, and use as a noun is proscribed. I cannot find an appropriate word. I give up.

For some of us, this site is a perfect outlet for our useless knowledge/obsessions. I do a ridiculous amount of editing on age rating tropes, because it's my weird quirk/interest and there's nowhere else that would appreciate it.

TV Tropes is practically built for us Aspies/Auties.
Ya, I'm weird like that...I guess their is the categorizing stuff.
Ya, I think that plays a big part in it.
Ya, I'm weird like that...(also, '95, the antonym for transgender is cisgender.)
