The pre-existing term is Oner. A long take is just long.
Goal: Clear, Concise and WittyI have no idea why we're not using the existing term, especially since it's very clear (arguably clearer than the name we're currently using).
Supporting a switch.
EDIT: OK, if this is an industry term, I retract my statement.

It does not matter who I am. What matters is, who will you become? - motto of Omsk BirdYeah, sorry, @Stratadrake a long take is long. The Oner is the industry term for a single extended shot with no cuts.
And switching to Long Take opens up the possibility of confusion with the other takes, like Spit Take, Double Take, Wild Take...

...if you don’t love you’re dead, and if you do, they’ll kill you for it.One Long Shot might be a decent redirect, though.
... Okay. But does not "single extended shot with no cuts" by definition mean "long take"?
An Ear Worm is like a Rickroll: It is never going to give you up.
The current name is opaque, and there is a pre-existing term for this trope already (Long Take).
On the other hand, I don't expect to see much in the way of active misuse here.
