It has the same image as Happiness Is Mandatory.

I think it fits better on Happiness Is Mandatory...got nothing to suggest as an alternative to Crapsaccharine World right now.

Hm, I can't help but think we had this discussion before. Did it get moved and then put back?

Looking through the examples, I remember exactly what the Bio Shock example is talking about. In Bio Shock 2, you actually take control of a little sister. Through their eyes, the world is all pristine, golden (literally), and the citizens are all happy. As you walk around in that section of the game and find a source of EVE for you to syphon up, the world changes to normal and you find the world around you to be dark, dreary, damp, and full of dead people.

A "What she sees, and what it really is" type two shot collage might work if I can find a video of it.

Sunnyside from Toy Story 3 comes to mind... it could be pretty easily demonstrated in two screenshots (one for the "colourful" side and one for the "prisonlike" side) though I'm not sure if it can be demonstrated in one...

I'm liking the Bioshock 2 example more. The contrast is much better, and much more apt as being High Octane Nightmare Fuel...

Though it might be a spoiler...?

Not necessarily. It's true that it happens pretty late in the game, but it's made pretty obvious right from the start of the first game that the Little Sisters are not normal by any means, so it's not much to think that their perception of reality is warped.

I was thinking something along the lines of this:

Rapture through the eyes of a little sister compared to Rapture for what it really is.

There are a few good before and after examples in this video.

That's excellent. Yes, the caption is necessary, but it's not JAFAAC.

Doesn't the 'little sister-view' in bioshock 2 make blood look like petals? I don't have the game, but I think i remember reading that somewhere. If so, wouldn't one picture with petals and one with blood make a more jarring contrast?

Nevertheless, the suggested image is fine, and has my vote!

Yes, the video I provided shows two "Angels" having the ADAM extracted from them.

Hmm...maybe we can get one of the Big Sister armor/ballroom gown? I just don't think the one above is as clear as it could be.

Look at the youtube video I posted with the image. It's got the whole kit'n'kaboodle there and plenty of other possible images if you want to throw them together.

Oh, totally missed that. I thought you just got it straight from your game. I don't know how to take screenshots, but lemme see if I can at least find the scene by second.

EDIT: 8:58 ~ seems good; a clear shot of Sofia Lamb's office, both as the Sister's see it and how it really is.

This took longer than I expected, due to pixlr.com rebelling against its moist, fleshy masters. Still, I managed to get two image suggestions made:

I think the dead woman picture gets the point across better, but maybe we should look for a version without the HUD clutter...

Fanart? Otherwise, if it can't be done, I'm fine with that one...

Guide to taking screenshots:

Go to Youtube, Find the scene you want, Hit your Print Screen key, go to Paint, hit Paste. Copy and save whatever image you want, and load it up.

Either of those would be good...not sure which I'd prefer.

I prefer the cage one. Even with the angel wings and rose petals, a dead woman on the floor isn't quite 'saccharine.'

The Axiom from Wall E might provide a good image; maybe one involving the toddlers in the daycare looking at the BnL logo, or one of the colourful tunnels surrounded by BnL ads?
