Rushed? It went three months.
...if you don’t love you’re dead, and if you do, they’ll kill you for it.Alternatively, we can replace it with the one on Brainy Baby instead. (We can easily find a different image for that one later on... or even if not, it's a smaller trope.)
"The Daily Show has to be right 100% of the time; FOX News only has to be right once." - Jon StewartUhm. That's not a kid with a book. That's some sort of monk kid with a book.
I'd get a better quality image, but apparently Netflix hates me at the moment.
Both new suggestions are examples of Child Prodigy, not this.

No, no. The science kid is a prodigy, because he's a science kid. Monk kid is a wise kid, because he's spiritual, not sciencey.
Though I admit that it's not perfect, since in spite of the name of the trope, it's not necessarily about wisdom so much as about maturity.
The best image would be something like a comic panel showing a kid comforting an adult, saying something like "if you love 'em, let 'em go."

There has to be some good stuff from Calvin And Hobbes. Middle panel here?◊
EDIT: Or this.◊

This implies, quite correctly, that my mind is dark and damp and full of tiny translucent fish.and Yeah, on second thought that was a bad example.
If all else fails I could draw an image as a last resort. The Calvin images are pretty good, though.

Bump...any other thoughts?
I guess the first Calvin and Hobbes comic will do the trick.
I mean, it's great. It's just the fact that it's a comic that hurts its usefulness as a page image.

Obligatory response: it's not JAFAAC. That's not really how JAFAAC works. It has visual cues.
That aside, yeah, if I recall correctly it's hard to find an image where it doesn't overlap with Child Prodigy, that's why we went by that monk route. That way we can sidestep the usual "kid with complicated lecture" images and avoid overlaps. The monk is wise beyond their years, but presumably not prodigious, it's just part of his training.
Not that convinced with the Calvin And Hobbes one, but I can get behind that one if it wins popular support.
The words above are to be read as if they are narrated by Morgan Freeman.I like the current one.
The Monk Kid = Wise Kid is a decent visual shorthand.
The Calvin and Hobbes one is alright, but I don't see any pressing need to replace the current image.
Reaction Image RepositoryMaybe the one on Brainy Baby can be moved here and something else found for that trope...
"The Daily Show has to be right 100% of the time; FOX News only has to be right once." - Jon StewartUnless something's changed since I stopped watching, I really wouldn't peg Stewie as "wise".
Yeah, unwritten rule number one: follow all the unwritten procedures. - CamacanDepends on in what sense of the term. He's reading a book that's regarded as a classic source of wisdom.

Clock's up; locking for inactivity/lack of consensus. No action is to be taken based on this thread.
It's a kid holding a book. Big deal. Anyone can do that. It doesn't make them look "wise".
