Then you might as well wait for the batch to come out. We've got a bunch of consistency (and foreshadowing?) shit to go back and v2 due to how much this show relies on mysterious terminology and obtuse clues. I'm guessing it'll happen after 13.

For the record, I kind of like her, but she's definitely one of the weaker heroines on the cast.

Amata too. Theyre so goddamn annoying compared to Zessica, Mix, Andy, or Jin.

Their relationship is so goddamned shallow and yet takes up half the damned time in the show that when/if zessica snaps, I'll be cheering the entire time. Zessica isnt even a Third wheel at this point for chrissakes, she's just "the girl who shows up for a few seconds to angst about Mikono blundering into Amata's heart effortlessly"

Yeah, Mikono seems be reincarnated Sylvie without any of her spine. (if that's what she is... I'm still not sure we're not getting a bait-and-switch on that one)

She's an annoying waif with pretty much zero self esteem or useful traits.

Isn't that kind of the reason why they were attracted to each other?

I agree Mikono needs better character development. But yeah, every other girl is superior. I feel REAL bad for Zessica, I'm getting worried she's gonna do something bad.

what annoys me most about the romance arc is I cant even get what Amata sees in her except that she makes him look confident by comparison.

Mikono is a pretty girl who helped him resolve his issues and understands being an outsider. You have to be quite ignorant if you can not see that.

I like Mikono, her character developement, and especially her cat. Hopefully, Kagura will not ruin either of them.

Pretty much. A pretty girl who shares his interests and they both care for each other.

And who knows, there may be more shit going on, although that "fly above your destiny" thing or whatever may mean the whole theme is Screw Destiny and Zessica remains forever alone

I love the little running gag that no one has any idea what a cat is or looks like.

@GPP: I understand that..but..thats all she does. and she gets whiny and angry every time Amata so much as is nice to another girl. She's just gets an insufferably large amount of time.

It's probably because Amata is the first guy aside from her brother Cayenne that's talked to her, been nice to her, or just talked to her normally, without all this 'not-an-element' thing making things awkward. Also it's kind of hard to ignore the mutual attraction between them (and let's be frank, Amata isn't hard on the eyes).

Its not about ignoring the mutual attraction, its that I find her personality about as interesting as a John Kerry campaign speech.

I have a problem with Fam the character (in the Last Exile sequel), but I can't do anything about it, can I? Viewer expectations and creator expectations rarely segue.

No, just Zessica, though in the most recent episodes Zessica has become the jealous one.

While Zessica has started to show signs of jealousy, she still does it in far less annoying ways than Mikono.

I think they were both upset when he flew for the invisible girl.

Mikono's jealousy always seemed kind of just played for laughs though with her just puffing her cheeks.

Zessica is full on metal destroying jelly.

Cant really blame her. She backs off of the flirting she did before she actually cared for him and mikono basically hogs his attention fulltime so we can watrch another agonizing 10 minujtes of blushing and stammering.

Blushing and Stammering? They don't do that. Having meaningful conversions revealing their pasts and issues thus gaining a better understanding of one another. Yeah, they do that. As seen from the most recent episode.

As you can tell, I like Mikono. To me, she's a kind girl with a low self-esteem who's trying to change herself. Sure she gets jealous, but that's just her being human. Who hasn't gotten jealous once in their life? For the record, she doesn't get jealous when ANY girl comes in contact with Amata. It's just when Zessica starts clinging to him and does things like sticking his arm between her boobs.. >.>

I hate how people seem to flanderize her flaws and ignore her good traits. Like how she's NOT useless in battle, she has her useful connection abilities. Like how she HAS developed as a character. Remember when the only thing she could do in a battle was sit on Amata lap and cry? She's not doing that anymore. She even tried to give Amata a pep talk this episode and before that she convinced MIX to gattai with Amata/Andy and even before that she told Amata and Cayenne that she didn't want to be protected by them and that she wants to fight with them..I think you guys get where I'm going with this, but the lesson of the story is, sure you can dislike a character, but please don't dislike them for reasons that you flanderize or just make up in your head. :/

I don't really see the point of hating on Mikono and Amata. They're shallow, yes, but it's not like the series isn't shallow in general. And even then the show is still entertainingly cheesy and campy, so it's all good.
