^I completelly disagree with you here. In regard of her relationship to Amata Mikono is nothing like a doormat or a yamato nadeshiko. She comes mostly as a passive agressive girl who mistreats the doormat Amata and has him grovelling to her feet.

So Mikono is not a yamato Nadeshiko. According to Okada she's a bad woman because she unknowingly manipulates men.

She gives me more of a faint immature femme fatale vibe actually

I'm still kinda-sorta wondering if they're not going to do some kind of subversion thingie. Zessicas "boys like girls they can protect" just feels... A bit too self-aware for it to just go that way.

With Kawamori we'll never know.

For all we know we'll get Amata/Kagura/Mix end.

New Episode is out.

May wind up eating those words, and that's all I can say that probably doesn't need to be spoilered. This episode is Kawamori at his finest.

Lots of stuff, but none of it really satisfying. Mikono and Amata have a chance to talk... And Mikono can only think about wolf-boy again. Zessica spends most of the episode angsting away. Andy's still depressed as fuck. MIX realizes what the fuck just happened last episode. Cayenne and Mikono finally act like siblings.

Now for the interesting stuff.

Shit's getting bad on Altair, so Izumo decides that it's about damn time he gets off his ass and shows these kids how it's done. And he does so. With STYLE. Lots of musing about his 'youth spent on Vega', he monologues for a bit about Alicia's kid. If he's not Amata's dad, he's not going to appear in this story. Combat happens, the crew's basically useless without Fudo.

By the way, when did we loose one of the vectors? Episode 16? Guess they take longer to fix than I would have thought.

Oh, and probably not the best place to put this, but I saw something on the *Chans that is a near perfect way to describe Mikono-at-this-point: ''Whoever designed her character did a fan-fucking-tasking job because she's easy to dislike but not entirely hate worthy, hard to sympathize with but still distantly relatable, motivations and thoughts as solid and tangible as a cloud which keeps everything suspenseful, and she oscillates regularly between annoying, frustrating, and adorable just to keep the audience wary. Just what I expect from a main villai... wait, that's not right. FUCK.

Huh, Mix got Abducted. Admittedly Neo Deava wasn't really in stellar condition. Fudo, their mastermind, is gone, they're apparently missing a Vector, it was friggin' Izumo who attacked and Andy and Zessica haven't finished angsting, said angst about to increase and spread next episode.

To be fair. you cant really blame Zessica and Andy their angst. In true japanese style, despite the ridiculously obvious signs theyre suffering extreme emotional and mental stress, nobody lifts a goddamn finger to help them. A therapist would be really helpful.

Interesting that things seem to be falling apart for Izumo at roughly the same rate they're falling apart for the good guys. Wonder if the fact that he managed to capture Mix will change anything on that front.

I actully worried that she won't survive the trip.

Soon, all Elements of Neo DEAVA and Kagura will follow her lead.

I would be worried about that if I weren't certain that they wouldn't kill off a character as important as her that casually. Even the most bloodthristy Anyone Can Die show would attempt to milk more drama out of something like that than what we got there.

I wonder if a gangbang rape scene will follow. If that follows, I bet Andy's anger will soar through the skies and into the stars

Maybe Mikono's power of connection and Andy's power of making holes will combine and blow a hole to Altair? I mean a wormhole is just another kind of hole after all.

That is an epic idea and I would be delighted to see that actually happen.

I like how Izumo actually attempted some diplomacy first.

I mean its pretty obvious it would go no where but its better than just "Lets just blow up their shit and abduct them."

I can SO see that happening.

She could end up in a Coma though like Alicia.

Also Mykage continues to prove to the world that yes, he is a massive prick.
