Yeah, that's really all I can say. I have no idea what the image is supposed to represent. Therefore I don't think it demonstrates the trope clearly, if at all, and suggest a pull.

Like last time I want to suggest the ending of Elfen Lied, but someone tell me no. It is a spoiler after all.

Please.

This would best be a picture with dialog, or a multipart picture showing the action and the consequences.

I'm on the internet. My arguments are invalid.

Multipart would be best. Hopefully it won't even need dialogue.

Motion to pull.

Pic doesn't show what's causing the RROD.

I'm not exactly sure how we'd go about picturing this.

So an ideal illustration would be something that shows a hero doing something and (in the same or another pic) keeling over from the strain? Maybe this pic of Bunny from the Powerpuff Girls?

[up] I think there needs to be a transition pic between them; otherwise, it could be that she's being hit with some kind of laser attack.

Okay, here's a couple with transitions.

... so this purple guy defeated all the mooks, and then gets hit by a barrage of laser beams? Sorry, but I don't get it.

I think the Powerpuff girl one works better. Especially with the middle panel that shows the beginning of light starting to bulge out. After seeing that, it still looks like she's being hit by lasers?

Don't take life too seriously. It's only a temporary situation.

panel 1 and 5 of the powerpuff girl example should work great and without looking like he is hit by laser

[up] i didn't see what the original picture was but i think that works pretty well, clearly there is alot of energy being released and it looks like its burning its way through his body

EDIT: oh wait that was the original wasn't it.

I'll try to throw together a collage showing Motoko's RROD in the Ghost In The Shell movie. I think that might work.

hmm. That GITS example might be hard to make safe for work. Motoko literally tears her body apart trying to force open the hatch on a tank, but she's nude while doing it. I don't know much about censoring out nipples in the shots. Shame too, because it is a well shown example.

[up] Eh, I didn't think she was nude until after she tears her arms off, because that's when her thermoptic camo gets shredded...granted, it's skin-tight, so the same effect may be there. It's been too long since I've seen the film.
