I don't think it's necessary to create a new page; Just adding a few lines (or even a folder, to save space) to the introduction of the Shōnen Genre perhaps. I say this, because that troupe wouldn't apply to each character. Alternatively, a new page for an anime main character, detailing the usual cliches of the genre.
I'd say it needs a page, as Shonen is a demographic not a genre. Standardized shonen action hero is a trope though, and there is a formula shonen heroes tend to follow and there is a set formula to most Shonen, popularized and enforced by Shonen Jump both Bakuman * and Gintama * discuss this at length and it is well-known about within said industry.

Rarely active, try DA/Tumblr Avatar by pippanaffie.deviantart.comThis would best be called something along the lines of Standard Action Shonen Tropes or, when referring to the hero specifically, Standard Action Shonen Hero Tropes. I believe we established the action part is important, since most non-action-y ones (like Death Note) tend to ignore these conventions altogether.
"If you aren't him, then you apparently got your brain from the same discount retailer, so..." - FighteerActually the series (Bakuman) I mentioned which explains a lot of these tropes and their connections in detail was made by DeathNote's creators after death note was finished. :3

I don't think so. For one thing, some of the current shonen themselves are at least a decade old. And a lot of these tropes date back to at least Goku of Dragon Ball.
We can just use Common Action Shonen Tropes. I might ykttw in a couple of days, but this'll take work.

"If you aren't him, then you apparently got your brain from the same discount retailer, so..." - FighteerNot at all Dragon Ball is 28 years ago and Yu Yu Hakusho was 22 years ago, and those tropes are still just as present in Naruto, Bleach, and one piece as well as new comers.
The two examples listed basically codified the shonen formula for all those who followed them.

Okay, in shonen action series, the main characters tend to be very young, most of them in high school. What are some shonen action works where the main characters are anywhere above 25? Rurouni Kenshin's main character is 28 (although he really doesn't look like it) and Tiger & Bunny's main character is also quite old, as far as I heard.
Any other examples?
I'm a (socialist) professional writer serializing a WWII alternate history webnovel.Gintama. Gintoki is most likely nearing his 30. Twenties for sure.
My President is Funny Valentine.Goku is pushing 40 by the time Dragonball ends. And I'm pretty sure Kenshiro is past his teens.
Time to leave them all behindTrigun started publication in a Shonen mag and then changed to a Seinen one, right? Vash is well above his teens unless I remember abysmally bad.
Well above his teens is an understatement. The dude is 152 years old!

Time to leave them all behindI didn't want to spoil anything for anyone, actually.
Yami Yugi is technically over 3000 years old.
I think Yusei Fudo is a bit older then the other yu-gi-oh protagonists (around late teens to early 20's, I think).
Watch SymphogearCobra from Space Adventure Cobra looks like he's thirty and Ryo Saeba from City Hunter is also clearly an adult. Hokuto No Ken 's Kenshiro is at least twenty.

Just remembered that there's also Gamma Akutabi from the short-lived Zombie Powder. Shame too, since in retrospect, Gamma is pretty refreshing compared to most modern-day shounen heroes.
Time to leave them all behindOn Gintoki last time I checked he is exactly 29 years old.
Rarely active, try DA/Tumblr Avatar by pippanaffie.deviantart.comHow about a younger follower whom admire everything the Shonen protagonist does?
Well, Naruto had Konohamaru.
Kenshin has Yahiko.
Toriko has, um, that cook guy.
My President is Funny Valentine.Gintama has Shinpachi and Dragon Ball had Gohan once Goku grew up
