Understand.
By the way, someone in this thread know World Trigger or Tokyo ESP, i`d like a lot the main characters of both series.
Osamu Mikumo is amazing, he is one of the few genuine underdogs in manga, he only wins because he`s The Smart Guy, and damn who he is good in it.

Watch me destroying my countryMore stories should copy World Trigger. Genuine underdog hero, strategic battles that focus on team play, and a general display of competence.
I`d love the team play in WT, is a really good way to use The Power of Friendship in a -kinda- realistic yet awesome way.
Watch me destroying my countryHeroic Bastard is also an alternative for stupid/dead parent(s). It's not even clear Yusuke knows his father's name.
So I see he was mentioned a few pages back but I always likd Light Yagami of Death Note because he subverts a lot of these tropes associated with a shounen lead. Then again, I know some consider him to be a Deconstruction of shounen leads because Light is in fact quite idealistic in his own way.
I also found it very confusing, when discussing shounen heroes elsewhere, to decide whether Light or L is the representative for DN. L is doubtless more heroic than L ight but Light is the protagonist. Of course, L is very different from most shounen protagonists as well.
Also while Intelligence is usaully a dump stat for shounen heroes, Kenshin Himura is great because he's both bright and skilled. He has a great arsenal of techniques available to him and isn't just a spam machine like people such as Ichigo or early Naruto.

L is neutral, Light is Evil. A Lighter Shade of Grey indeed, but neither is "heroic".

Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that.
If there's one show in the world that embodies these rules in the extreme, it's TTGL.
Poor Simon.
Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that.
