The page for Bleed 'Em and Weep seems to be based on the idea that showing someone crying after killing someone else is an indication that they're a "weak" character, and specifically a dig against female or feminine characters. I'm not sure that's necessarily true—wouldn't it be "realistic" to have a character who isn't already hardened be strongly affected by the first time they killed someone?

(Also, I'd like to ask how this relates to Apologetic Attacker.)

Hm, I think it could use some improvement.

It would indeed be realistic to have any character who isn't a hardened killer be strongly affected by having to kill someone. But male characters do seem to deal with it better. The male characters who completely crumble after shooting someone are few and far between compared to the number of female characters who lose it completely.

That's because male characters tend to be hardasses who already are long into their career of killing. This does need a rewrite though. It comes off as a rant.

Please.

Ok weak is a bad word to use here "Not hardened" would be the word. And its not female exclusive.

Also the name sounds like a jab at women. Instant PTSD is what I would call it.

I think the trope is A Real Man Is a Killer or some such?

Edit: like First Kill Horror.

I don't see how the name is a jab at women in any way, but I think this is a more general trope then the description suggests, and something like First Kill Horror does sum up the idea better.

Well, it looks like the issue was caught by at least one troper during the YTTW stage, but the objection was completely ignored.

EDIT: Is the Justice League example a case of Square Peg Round Trope? Certainly looks like it wouldn't fit under First Kill Horror if not.

Not sure. He's a fighter pilot, but he shoots a dude with his pistol after he gets shot down. If the comicbook was anything like the movie.
