Having seen some of Raimi's movies, I know this is his signature camera style, so it's a little sad that we need to rename it; I guess it's more obscure than I thought.
If it is renamed, I think the name should focus on the 'velocity' of the camera work and how it follows its prey, not how shaky it is. It 'is' supposed to have been shot by a hand-held camera - or at least have that effect - but that's not its defining trait, so it shouldn't be lumped in with Shaky Cam (even though that was the original name for it. Confusingly enough.) Shaky P.O.V. Cam just sounds like something else, like something you'd see in a strictly action movie with no horror or sense of being chased. How about Danger Cam? Pursuing Cam? Chasing Cam? Sorry, I just like the current name I guess.
Changing Jitter Cam to Shaky Cam is a great idea, though.
[The rest was unintelligible.]But it can be used in a movie with no horror. There's nothing implicitly horrific about the technique. It was invented for (and is remarkably good at) being a POV monster, but it's not limited to that by any means.
I think the problem may be that the name is inherently confusing. Raimi's work had three critical elements: shaky, POV, and fast-moving. The current trope, as described, actually focuses on only the last two (making the Shaky Cam redirect even more confusing). But Raimi's version may be Too Rare To Trope—or at least, overly specific. Basically, to cover all the bases, we would need:
- Shaky Cam (currently named Jitter Cam).
- P.O.V. Cam
- Fast Moving Cam
- Shaky P.O.V. Cam
- Shaky Fast Moving Cam
- Fast Moving POV Cam (currently named Raimi Vision, and, confusingly, the target of the Shaky Cam redirect).
- Shaky Fast Moving POV Cam (what Raimi is actually known for).
But that's a lot of tropes, and is likely to be confusing. So we need to figure out which of these we need, and which we can ignore as simply being A+B. The A+B+C option is the most obvious one to omit, but, unfortunately for Raimi fans (like me), it's also the only one that really deserves the name Raimi Vision.

Yeah, unwritten rule number one: follow all the unwritten procedures. - CamacanCalling crowner for Shakey POV Cam. Please start the rename.
Reality is that, which when you stop believing in it, doesn't go away. -Philip K. DickTrope renamed and wicks switched. Monster Vision still needs something done about it, though.
Also, someone should YKTTW Fast Moving Camera, as suggested earlier, since we are missing that trope. I don't really know enough about camera tricks to do it, otherwise I would.

Waiting on a TRS slot? Finishing off one of these cleaning efforts will usually open one up.Isn't there some sort of name they use in the film business to talk about it, like Whip Pan or something?
Rhymes with "Protracted."Shaky Cam, although Sam Raimi and Bruce Campbell are, like, the only two people (apart from fans of Sam Raimi and Bruce Campbell) that I've ever heard use that term to refer to this.
The page description notes that Shaky Cam was at some point a redirect to this page, although it now brings readers somewhere else.
Crown Description:
Raimi Vision
No YKTTW, no examples, just a stub someone inflicted on us for no particular reason. Too bad TRS is full to capacity! *sigh*
It actually sounds like a supertrope, but we almost have too many tropes about this family of camera shots, so I don't know.
My recommendations so far: rename Raimi Vision to Shaky P.O.V. Cam. Make the Shaky Cam redirect point to Jitter Cam (for now—in the long run, I'd like to swap the two). Either make Monster Vision a redirect to P.O.V. Cam (which covers it) or cut and send to YKTTW. Make sure all the tropes interlink so people can figure out which one they need. And...I think that may do it. Oh, maybe add a few useful redirects to some of these.
