Not only does there seem to be too much analysis on this page, it breaks the flow of the example section. Could someone rewrite this for readability?

There are some tropes where I think that makes a lot of sense. This sure isn't one of them.

Actually, getting a full look at the page, I think we should send this to YKTTW. I cut large sections discussing implications of the trope from the description, and it doesn't really have a whole lot of trope left.

It sounded a lot like someone apologizing for the tropes existence.

Requirements for the YKTTW:

1) a full description not taking detours to describe how discredited this trope is

2) a normal example section, with linked works, not separated by type.

3) better writing overall.

As the troper that originally put this trope up in YKTTW, if I could help in any way, let me know? I'm not quite clear on why distinguishing subcategories of a trope or how it's used is a problem, though, so I may just be missing the point, but I have seen that done with other tropes, and to some purpose there and in this case.

Deboss: I'm not sure how I would have come across as apologizing for the trope, as opposed to saying it exists and is used? And it's kind of hard to describe it accurately without taking some account of the extent to which it's an Undead Horse Trope. I'm sorry if the writing style grates.

I see another problem, which is that the examples are largely line-listing, with no information about what the circumstance the line is used in is.

Part of the problem may be that this is basically a stock phrase.

I folderized the first section and cut the examples that were just someone using the phrase with no indication that they were trying to absolve themselves of an accusation of racism or bigotry. I couldn't figure out what to do with the parts B, C, and D, though.
