@ judasmartel: Interesting. I can't really say much about premise(far from a basketball fan so it doesn't resonate with me as much as a fan would). I do like the little stat thing, though I'm not sure I agree with giving out their positions this early, which might kill the suspense later. Or does the position mean the position they usually get and specialize in, not what they will get on this specific team? (Again, not a basketball fan). If it's the former then it's fine. I notice that there's a bit of a problem with the tenses, which makes reading a bit confusing because I'm not sure what's going on and when it's happening, so yeah, a bit of some editing on that part would be nice.

To be honest the girlfriend rating icked me out. The fact that he was forced into doing it doesn't do much; if anything it makes him look like a push over. You'd probably have to make him really really interesting (or at least do something interesting) in order for readers to gain more interest in him.

The positions are just the potential positions they get based on their height, weight, and predisposition. The exception is Ryoko, whom I intend to be an Allen Iverson clone (who could end up being a Rukawa clone for some).

I just got the GF rating idea from Episode 2 of Mysterious Girlfriend X. I guess That Came Out Wrong, I don't intend to make the guy look wimpy. He's actually very good at basketball, but a recurring injury prevented him from playing at his best, so he gets cut from varsity teams ever since.

I'm thinking of something between a back injury, ACL injury, and ankle injury. So what do you think should be a plausible situation for our guy? Take note that he could still play despite the injury, he just can't play his A-game due to it. This is my trump card to make the main guy interesting, but without him stealing the spotlight.

I'm seriously tired of people expecting the main guy to steal the spotlight from the female cast just because he's a guy. This time, I want to write a main guy who doesn't have to steal the spotlight to become awesome, or at least interesting.

I'd go for the back injury. I think it's the most plausible of the three.

I can see where you're going, just remember not to leave him in the dark, else he ends up being forgettable and all his interesting traits laid to waste.
