What I'm hoping they do for Kartville is have some more music for the various holidays. One of my favorite themes across the franchise is the Toy Day theme.
One other idea I hope comes through, if you race on your birthday, then K.K. Birthday or a remix of it plays.

Actually you know what? Screw 8. Mario Kart DS returning is the big news. Still the best Mario Kart to this day. Will never be topped as long as Nintendo continues to be lazy about the series. You know how Melee fans feel betrayed by Brawl? That's similar to how I feel about DS to Wii. Long live Mario Kart DS.
Ehh, Mario Kart DS is ok, but compared to 7, it's kind of rough around the edges. Not to mention the Nintendo Wi-Fi service is discontinued so you can't even play the game online.

@Sterok: Thank you for cementing in my mind that Mario Kart 8 is the best Mario Kart now, because that just reminded me how much I dislike the Melee fanbase.

8 is cool though. Just wish they had a mission mode. At least 200CC will make up a bit for how barebones the singleplayer is. And I did like 7. It was just Wii I wasn't fond of. Mostly because I don't like the bikes.

Oh, bikes were total BS on Wii, no discussion there. I insisted on using Karts online though, 'cause I'm a total rebel like that and stuff (Also, cathartic victories on tracks heavy on the turns).

Why does Kartville have all those staple AC characters while Hyrule Circuit has no Zoras, Gorons, Kikwi or anything?

I read a comment that suggested Nintendo is basically turning Mario Kart into the new F-Zero. I sadly have to agree. With Mario Kart around and selling way more numbers than any F-Zero, it's doubtful we'll get another F-Zero.
However, I DO wish they'd put an actual Captain Falcon DLC character in rather than a costume.

I don't really think the "no sales" excuse for F-Zero will work even if Nintendo themselves made it.
They've steadily built up a market by putting Captain Falcon in Smash since 1998, and now Mute City's presence in Mario Kart seems to have doubled the fervor for a new F-Zero.
Still, it's probably not as bad as Miyamoto's current excuse of not being able to evolve the series.

People only care about Captain Falcon as a character. I don't think they'll care if he gets a game unless it's a beat-em-up where you kick criminals' asses. Maybe if he got to run them over.
