Welcome to the main discussion thread for the Marvel Cinematic Universe! I'm editing this OP and pinning it to establish some basic guidelines. All of the Media Forum rules still apply.
- This thread is for talking about the live-action films, TV shows, animated works, and related content that use the Marvel brand, currently owned by Disney.
- While mild digressions are okay, discussion of the comic books should go in this thread. Extended digressions may be thumped as off-topic.
- Spoilers for new releases should not be discussed for at least two weeks. Rather, each title should have a dedicated thread where that sort of conversation is held. We can mention new releases in a general sense, but please be courteous to people who don't want to be spoiled.

The irony of Black Panther of all people saying that is just, damn.
Let's go one better and have BP try to snatch Vision (Team Rocket-style), justifying it by saying the vibranium he's made of technically still belongs to Wakanda. It wouldn't be too bad of a character arc, actually.

He just puts him in a bag as soon as the Civil War is over. "Okay, bye!"
It was already funny seeing Rocket & Groot literally bag someone. Seeing BP of all people do it and in comically serious fashion would asphixiate me.
And now I'm imagining Rocket and Groot as Team Rocket...
- "Prepare for trouble!"
- "I am Groot!"
- "To protect our finances from devastation!"
- "I am Groot!"
- "Something about evil, but we're really out to get paid!"
- "I am Groot!"
- "Rocket!"
- "I am Groot!"
Etc.
"The difference between reality and fiction is that fiction has to make sense." - Tom Clancy, paraphrasing Mark Twain.Rocket: "TEAM ROCKET IS BLASTING OFF AGAAAAAAAAAAAAIN!!!"
Groot: "I AM GROOT!" (Translation: Groot, that's right!)
Doctor Who — Long Way Around: https://www.fanfiction.net/s/13536044/1/Doctor-Who-Long-Way-AroundHey guys, I just watched (technically rewatched but does it count if you can't remember it the first time?) The Incredible Hulk.
It wasn't bad. For a work of Marvel Studios's extremely early days I'm somewhat surprised by how not bad it was.
I can see why I forgot it though, it didn't particularly stand out all that much, in fact I'm pretty sure I'm already forgetting it again. It's an alright ride but it's not going to stick in anyone's mind particularly well and a lot of the CG, well, let's just say it's really obvious how much of this is a cartoon.
Seeing it again gave me a greater appreciation of the Hulk as we know see him today. I also find it rather cool that they make the Hulk these days look so much like Banner. I always get the feeling there's always a generic hulk like so people keep forgetting that there's this other guy that he comes from that he should look like.
The Blog The ArtI thought The Incredible Hulk was pretty good. Better than either of the Thor movies, or Ant Man, or Iron Man 2. It's only considered the weak link because it didn't make as much money; in terms of quality, it's right in the middle of the pack.
It is easily my least favourite. It is just so boring most of the time, and I don't buy Norton as Bruce Banner.
I can agree with the Incredible Hulk being better than Iron Man 2 on some days.
That's pretty much how I feel about it too. Solid across the board but unremarkable. Even the not great movies like The Dark World and Iron Man 2 had some really interesting ideas mixed in to help them stand out, but The Incredible Hulk was just... kind of there.

Ross said the same thing about the Hulk. "As far as I'm concerned that man's whole body is property of the US Army."

Maybe you'd be less disappointed if you stopped expecting things to be Carmen Sandiego movies.A scene in Iron Man 2 if I remember correctly.
Age of ultron's first deleted scene is Maria Hill once again acting cynical towards the Avengers
@Swanpride, when I first saw the movie I would have agreed that Ed Norton dd not convince me of his Banner-ness, being too pointy and suspicious, but I think maybe it was because I had seen Fight Club for the first time some years after that and it may have coloured my perception.
He's actually a great Bruce, the only problem I had was that I never got the impression the character was that young (he looks late 20s to mid 30s and I always saw Bruce Banner as anywhere around mid-30s and beyond.).
Oh, another highlight was Samuel Sterns. Besides his ridiculous expression after Bruce's blood dripped on his head wound, that actor was doing a great job of enthusiastic and brilliant scientist with more interest in progress than morals or limitations. Easy someone who could be the Leader, albeit a more enthusiastic one than a cold calculating one.
Man, we are getting some mileage off of that General Ross line. I wonder how else we can apply it.

The Blog The Arti found incredible hulk pretty forgettable, it and thor being just kinda mediocre were largely the reasons the first avengers fell flat for me.
Tony Stark (on Ultron): "As far as I'm concerned, that guy's entire operating system is property of Stark Industries."
"The difference between reality and fiction is that fiction has to make sense." - Tom Clancy, paraphrasing Mark Twain. How about:
Black Panther: As far as I'm concerned, that thing's entire body is property of Wakanda.
Thanos (cracks knuckles): Ahem . . .
Black Panther: . . . except the Infinity Stone in its forehead.
"It takes an idiot to do cool things, that's why it's cool" - Haruhara HarukoGuardians version.
Groot: "I am Groot."

For some reason, that joke of black panther make me imagine something like this:
Tony: come on, you cant own other body as propety, I thought your people know that? BP:...what is that supose to mean? Tony:ehh.....damn, that came on wrong.
"My Name is Bolt, Bolt Crank and I dont care if you believe or not"Tony: Jarvis I thought I told you to warn me when I was about to say something insensitive!
Friday: You told that to Jarvis, not me.

Vision: "Since I'm no longer obligated to follow your orders, I thought this would be funnier."
"The difference between reality and fiction is that fiction has to make sense." - Tom Clancy, paraphrasing Mark Twain.I do wonder if Vision's past as JARVIS will come up at all in his interactions with Tony.
You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique!
Epic callback, my friend.
