Welcome to the main discussion thread for the Marvel Cinematic Universe! I'm editing this OP and pinning it to establish some basic guidelines. All of the Media Forum rules still apply.
- This thread is for talking about the live-action films, TV shows, animated works, and related content that use the Marvel brand, currently owned by Disney.
- While mild digressions are okay, discussion of the comic books should go in this thread. Extended digressions may be thumped as off-topic.
- Spoilers for new releases should not be discussed for at least two weeks. Rather, each title should have a dedicated thread where that sort of conversation is held. We can mention new releases in a general sense, but please be courteous to people who don't want to be spoiled.

I got a question. How long will it be until time skip for Peter Parker and what grade is he in? high school is just broad and one step away from nigh-adulthood unless he's a freshmen. He can't be 16 years old for ever here.
*4: And Liz Allan fits into that somewhere, too. Or did that happen later, I can't remember...

"The difference between reality and fiction is that fiction has to make sense." - Tom Clancy, paraphrasing Mark Twain.I guess they will make him as young as possible in order to keep him in High school as long as possible.
that makes me scared of repeating smallville... but unlike clark, peter is broken enough to remain in a "childish' state for i would say up to late 20s. also the actor looks very young even if he is 19 or w/e age.

For once I agree with Tobias Drake. Having Black Cat turned into a supervillain following Sp Ock punching her was DUMB.
I'd say he's probably going to be a junior on High School. That's young enough so that they can go perhaps two movies with him in HS. If they go any younger, the age of the actors themselves might be a problem.
If MJ and Gwen show up in the new Spider-Man reboot, I propose a Peter/Gwen/MJ polyamory relationship.
Because why the hell not?
Okay based on the new casting for AOS http://www.comingsoon.net/tv/news/466921-agents-of-s-h-i-e-l-d-casts-constance-zimmer-for-season-3 it seems at least one agency unrelated to SHI Eld or Hydra is taking action towards the newly created Inhuman epidemic for the first time ever. I am really carious to see where this will go in 4 more years because by then pretty much all of humanity will know what an I Nhuman is and you know what that means - BLACK BOLT TIME

Doctor Who — Long Way Around: https://www.fanfiction.net/s/13536044/1/Doctor-Who-Long-Way-AroundWhy not just all four of them in one relationship?
Maybe you'd be less disappointed if you stopped expecting things to be Carmen Sandiego movies.A 'fantastic four' as its called nowhere
Forever liveblogging the AvengersI am pretty sure that would be a breach of contract.
Fantastic.

It would be kinda funny if they started mentioning the names of non-MCU Marvel superheroes as sex acts, sort of like that one joke in the Venture Brothers.
"They call this position...the Deadpool."
"Say hi to my Colossus!"
"Ha! That's not nearly as impressive as my Cyclops!"
"Everyone, please, stop arguing. My Kitty's getting impatient here."
"Alright, alright, here we go. Hope you're ready for a Storm!" *
"And now for a little something I like to call... the Professor X!"
"Professor X? What's the Professor- OH GOD THAT'S THE PROFESSOR X!"

I've got fanfics for Frozen, Spectacular Spider-Man, Crash Bandicoot, and Spyro the Dragon. You may not be able to walk, off and on.
Forever liveblogging the Avengersthis isn't really just a thing unique to spider-man either honestly. it seems like having a love interest is mandatory for any superhero film for whatever reason and honestly it's kind of annoying.
.... The Hell was that ?!!!
That's what s/he said, after the Professor X was performed.

Pretty much, and it's super dumb considering it's more and more common to see movies shit on by critics and audiences (across all demographics) alike for shoehorning gratuitous Token Romance in (e.g. Ant-Man) or praised for leaving it out altogether (The Winter Soldier, Mad Max, Snowpiercer).
It's an outdated way of thinking that somehow persists among execs despite ever-increasing audience opposition, just as it is with the glacial pace of diversifying leads or including prominent LGBT characters when the revenue they're afraid of losing from close-minded people is way less than what they'd gain. I mean, the East Asian market is huge, the Latin American market is also pretty sizeable and growing, and the African middle class is well on the rise. Come on now.

Movie executives are superstitious as all heck. It's because noone really knows what makes a movie a hit. Year after year, there are movies that make piles of money that noone would have been confident about, and also movies that check all the "safe" boxes and bomb. The audience is fickle, and nobody is really all that comfortable with gambling with these amounts of money, even if the return is overall, absurdly good. Because if your movie is the one that bombs? Well, there goes your pile of money.
So everyone pretends really hard they know what they are doing.
And things that work are repeated. Hence all the sequels.
Preferably with the scene where she throws up on him. That part is key.
