Yep, that all seems worthy of excision. In-universe examples only is probably a good idea.

I cleared out a bunch of bad examples in the main sections, and then took out every single general example or hypothetical example in Real Life, leaving only the ones where the person themself has said something about hearing the same thing over and over again.

The real-life section of Never Heard That One Before is both long (roughly one third of the page, probably a bit less), and essentially reads like Troper Tales/Beserk Button mk.II.
Does anybody support cutting (or at least pruning) that particular section?
